The Plight of Original Fiction
A comment left by Alex Avenge on my jonas brothers rant journal made me think...
What about the original fiction?
I am well aware about the fact that WDILGA has only received such a warm welcome because it's a slash (I really didn't intend to write it because it was a slash and would be popular, in fact I didn't know what slash even was when I began writing it)
I'm thinking about the fantasy stories, the school life stories, the thrillers, the crime stories, the horror stories (just to name a few)...
Where are they?
I don't mind fanfiction and I love the ones that are written well, just as much as the next mibbian, but I think it's good to read an original piece of fiction sometimes.
Basically, I'm saying...
If you think your story has what it takes to entertain me, and Frank Iero won't appear half way through, give me a comment on this journal ^-^
I'm not fussed about genre, and I read slash, femmeslash and het.
Go on, go on, make my day :D

I tried writing slash once. It was horrible. I think it's kind of gross. But even my fanfictions don't get many readers on here. My non-fiction gets the most.
Well, yeah. I've got a story. It's called Freshman Year I'm not sure if you'll like it, though.

I used to write fanfiction as the only genre I ever wrote. And then one day I'm like "...what would this story be like if I wrote it with original characters?" Turns out I'm better at developing my own characters than trying to fit them to the distorted images of celebrities. I have like, one thing posted, and it's more of a rant than anything, but you can check it out if you like.
I write original fiction almost exclusively now, so go ahead and check some of my other stuff out as it's posted, including a thriller that I'm currently editing. :]

I still search for those stories once in a while, at first I thought mibba was going to be filled with them as opposed of quizilla. But, I won't lose hope just yet. There's one I reccomend that's called Columbine. Definitely not a fanfic and has a real plot from the few chapter I've read. It's author is amoebaamabelle
If you like, you can check mine out. The Stealing of Half a Kiss.. it's no fanfic and I'm just starting it out, so it's in chapter 2. ^^

I thought Fantasy would be more popular here, but that's only so if it's slash, or vampire based fiction that seems close to the idea of Twilight.
School life = Again; slash, or 'this kid is alone and a loner and then there's this guy and he's a loner and they fall in luv'.
Thrillers? I've seen one. I have no explination for that...just complaints for the lack of. :(
Horror...usually involves Vampires. =P
If I could sugest my story Love According to Mibba, which is a parody of all those things? =P
