My Tokio Hotel Experience!

Those are the pictures that I took! :]

Okay, so we left the house around 12:30. The CD signing was supposed to start at 3:00 sharp, so we knew we had to be there early since it was supposed to be very crowded. We drove down to Phoenix on Thunderbird road and got there around 1:15. Now, Zia Records is in a little strip mall. It's in one of the corners, but takes up most of the front side of the strip mall. We had to park in a Home Depot parking lot, which was across the street from the strip mall. The line formed near the little opening in the corner of where Zia Records was, and extending almost behind the building a bit down the street. We were about thirty feet away from a corner that led into a neighborhood street.

It was hot, which really wasn't fun, but I knew it was worth it. We stood behind these two girls, one of which looked exactly like the younger version of Bill; the short hair that was spiked and the bangs that were off to the left side. It surprised me how much she looked like him! There was another guy who had one of his guitars with him that got into a conversation with everybody; he was extremely nice and had a good sense of humor, so it was like a breath of fresh air. Only about thirty minutes later, I started getting into conversations with the two girls in front of us. And by that time, there were tons of people behind us in line, so that made me feel a little better.

There were tons of people pulling over on the side of the road asking what we were doing, and each time we told them it was a Tokio Hotel CD signing, they looked at us like we were freaks, since they had absolutely no idea who Tokio Hotel was. It pissed us off a couple times since a lot of people rolled their eyes at us. But whatever, it's their loss. At one point, a man pulled over and asked what the line was for, and the guy behind us with the guitar said we were there to see Bob Marley as a joke, which caused everyone to laugh. It was one of the highlights of the evening.

At about 2:10, the line started moving up, which of course queued the screams. I asked why we were moving up so soon, and the girl in front of me (her name was Lacey, I think) said that they had arrived. I was kind of shocked to hear that they got there early, but shrugged it off. We all talked more, kind of creating a circle. Then, at 2:55 or something like that, four black cars began pulling up, and everyone began to scream. I obviously didn't scream, but it was cool to see the cars that had Tokio Hotel inside of them. They were nice too, by the way. Shiny and everything. ;)

Just as they pulled in, they realized that they were pulling in to the back area of the strip mall and had to turn around. We kind of whined about that, but laughed it off as they went around to the front (which was out of our view since the other stores of the strip mall were blocking it). That's when the real screaming came and people jumped out of the line to run towards the opening to see them. I swear, the screaming was much louder than I expected. I wanted to see Bill's hair on the top of the crowd, but unfortunately didn't.

So the crowd moved up some more, a lot faster than before since the guys were there. There were a couple of times where people would run out of the crowd to go towards the front. There was more screaming, but I think it was only just to set the mood, which definitely gave me that adrenaline rush.

Some girls ran back into the line screaming, "Oh my god, they are so hot!" and I just had to laugh. At one point, a man from Zia gave us cards to write our names on so he could pull out a few random names to bring the people to the front of the line. I didn't get called, but I was alright with that.

So, at about 3:45 or something like that, we finally made it to the front of the store. There was a security guard near one of the doors and he would open it to let out the people who had just gotten their stuff signed. I tried looking in a couple of times, but I think they put the guys in the very back for a reason. There was this one group of girls that came out with their jaws dropped and star struck facial expressions. It was so funny. I had a feeling I was going to look like that by the end of it as well.

I was stopped by the security guard near that door so they could let a few more people in at the door a couple feet in front of me. Once I was finally able to go, there was lady who cut my wristband off. I was nearly hyperventilating when they let us go inside the store. It was nice to feel the coolness of the store since we had been outside for such a long time.

Then, I proceeded to take out my camera and made a video. I began to shake once we got close enough to where I actually managed to see Bill's hair. That actually started off when a girl behind me said, "I saw his hair!" and then I said, "Where?" and she started giggling with someone, which somehow made me giggle. Then I asked, "Did you seriously see his hair?" and she said yes, so I decided to try and take a look. When I saw his hair, I began to freak out again. I felt so stupid, but I couldn't help it. I promised myself I wouldn't act like a crazy fan girl, but it actually just came natural. I honestly couldn't stop myself from saying, "Oh my god" multiple times.

Okay, so then we got to the end of the row (we had to walk in between rows of CD's), there was another security guard who made me wait a couple of seconds before saying, "Okay, go ahead. Have fun". I thanked him and walked forward to the table, nearly shoving the camera into my mom's hands.

First, I saw Bill. And let me say, I was officially star struck. I actually stared at him, without actually meaning to. He looked so much different in person, I swear. You know how tiny he looks in pictures and videos? Well, he surely wasn't tiny when I saw him. And he was only sitting down! You could easily tell that he was 6'3", just by how large he was. I'm not saying he was fat, because he was definitely far from that, but he actually looked normal, if that makes any sense. He didn't look like a twig, like he usually does in the photographs. His smile was adorable, as usual. And his smile showed through his eyes as well, which were also beautiful. After he signed his name, he handed me back the CD booklet (you know, the one with the lyrics?) and I asked, "Can I get a picture?" I can't remember if he said sure or yes, but it was one of the two and he smiled as my mom took the picture. He was very sweet, just as expected. I gave my thanks and he told me "You're welcome".

Then, I heard someone say, "Um, hello?" and I jumped, realizing I had been staring at Bill again (ugh, fan girl much?) and turned to see Tom looking at me. I felt horrible and said, "Oh, I'm so sorry!" but he just simply smiled and said, "Hey, it's alright" while shaking his head. His German accent really showed through, which kind of amazed me. He pushed the booklet down the table towards Georg and I said thank you, which he returned with a you're welcome.

Georg signed it next and I, of course, said thank you (they were actually the only two words I could clearly comprehend. I had originally planned to say something along the lines of, "You guys are awesome, your music rocks" to them, but I blanked once I saw them. Gah.) and he smiled at me after saying you're welcome. And I've got to admit that his smile is gorgeous. I actually melted a little inside. Trust me, it's nothing like the pictures. It's ten times better.

Gustav didn't saying anything, nor did he look up once I said my thanks. But I think it had something to do with him being rather shy and also because the guys were being rushed. That's why seeing them in person only lasted about 7 seconds.

But it's actually strange how differently I'm looking at them now. I mean, it was like they were completely different people once I saw them. Bill's face was so much bigger compared to the pictures, same with Georg. See how small his face looked in that picture I took (not counting the fact that the picture is small)? Like, thin? It wasn't as thin in person. It's really hard to explain, but it was all worth it.

Walking out of the store and across the parking lot, I couldn't stop smiling, which probably freaked out everyone I walked by.

And then, on the way home, I proceeded to cry; both from the adrenaline and from how happy I was. (:
