Forgive Durden last night.

It was amazing.

Madore (a local band) was on first and I think no one really knew them since we were all head bopping. But, they are pretty good and the lead singer gave some gummies to some dude since he was like "GIMME SOME." Then, one of the band members was hanging out by their merch table and I was like "hi Big Grin" and he's like "hey." And then I walked off. Later, I went to get his autograph, along with the lead singer's since I couldn't find the other members.

Then, Anarbor was on. Since there were like 20 other people, my cousin and I were right at the front and we had their EP so we go, "Slade, can you sign this?" And he's like sure, but the Sharpie wouldn't work so he couldn't get a good signature. Their set was pretty rad; I wasn't into them, but I am now! After their set was over and I asked Adam if I could have a guitar pick and he's like "of course!" And handed me the one he had used for the show. Kareem and I hung around the stage, since she wanted to get autographs (we borrowed a pen from some dude outside). We met Slade, Adam and Greg! Greg was apparently learning Spanish since he's like "tell me if I'm correct-o. Tu estas etudiando Ingles," And when Kareem answered, he looked at me for a translation. Overall, they were extremely sweet and quite talented.

You, Me and Everyone Know came on next and the lead singer was like "I love this fog machine. And, this wireless mic," and spun it all around, just to prove a point. And, some crazy girl went, "TOO CUTE, TOO CUTE." And the lead singer's like, "... I bet you're talking about -insert name of dude that I don't remember-" and then he's like "this song is about... a bitch; it's for you, crazy girl... I'm kidding." And, he was pretty out there; jumping around and basically all up in my face.

I was sitting around, since my feet hurt and the other twenty people had gone for a while. Then, I saw Thomas and I went, "Thomas! Thomas!" and waved. And he was like Red Face hey, and waved back. I wanted an autograph and he'd gone backstage so Kareem was like "LEZGO." and took me to the backstage door. I was like, "hey, thomas... can you, uhm, sign this?" And he was like sure -signs Adakias- and then he took a picture with me(: Then, they were sound checking and AJ, I believe?, was having casual conversation with us. He was like, "what's the last gig you went to?" And I said Cobra Starship, back in '07, at Emo's Austin. And he goes, "ah, yeah. Outdoors? We played indoors, since the Melvins were on the outdoor stage." I was going to ask him to sign his part, but then they started. It was funny, because AJ was like, "man... this is cool, first time we talk to the crowd. McAllen, you're gettin' some tonight." And I go, interaction -nods- and he laughs! Then someone walks past and goes, "like a private show," and AJ's like "I thought this was a battle of the bands..." and we all laugh.

They played all of Razia's, Thomas was alone during two songs (like an intermission). And AJ did Pallis' parts. Unfortunately, I have to leave right before "Doctor, Doctor" so I missed that and "brother, noooooooo" and I didn't get AJ's autographs. But, it was amazing and it was nice having a conversation with him!

Slade and I.
Thomas and I.
