Yo, Mibba!
First things first, go read this. It's a cowrite between Jinxeh and I.
---
Last week was quite a week for me. Started out with me feeling a bit under the weather. Ended with me in the hospital and short one appendix. I feel so empty.
Moment of silence for my fallen appendix, please. I shall miss they, useless appendage.
At least I still have my spleen.
On Friday, because Mike is a lunatic, my parents showed up in LA. Mike called them when I was admitted into the hospital and they thought it best to fly across the country to make sure I was okay. Completely unnecessary but not at all unwelcome. I haven't been home in a year, since last June, so it was nice to see them. My stepfather has gone gray. Jokes were made. I couldn't resist.
I spent the entire weekend being pathetic and bothering my mother, to which she said "Is it possible that you've gotten even more obnoxious over the past year. How does that boy put up with you?" Well, I don't know mom. Nerves o steel and impeccable resilience, I'd guess. According to my mom, she thought I'd grow out of being a sarcastic smart-ass. Apparently she thought wrong. Though, for the most part, I do intentionally try to annoy her.
My stepdad spent most of the time cooking. Our fridge is full to the brim with tupperware and delicious yum-yums. It'll probably be gone by Thursday (at the latest). Seriously, the people who live here are practically ravenous scavengers. F*ckin' animals.
But not my parents are gone. Back in New York and I'm a bit sad. A little.
On another note, I gots me some staples in my tummy. I was more than a bit disappointed that I didn't get stitches. Staples are so hideous.
----
Happy birthday to Lena Horne (92) and Michael Phelps (24).
R.I.P. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays.
Sleepy,
Audrey T.
* Thank you for all the well-wishes and get-wells, you guys. I really appreciate it. You made me feel all tingly inside.
*@Jinxeh Pics shall be posted once I hunt down my roommate and pilfer his camera. And also, I was promised a present...

I'm glad your spleen's still intact. Losing your appendix AND spleen? Most people never get over that.
Glad you and your parents had fun this week. It's funny how your mom thought you'd grow out of sarcasm. That stays with you for life, yo :tehe:
I didn't know Lena Horn was still alive.
I'm glad Michael Phelps is.
RIP Ed, Farrah, Michael, and Billy.

Glad you're back...
Haha, spleen, spleen, spleeeeennnn. ---vampirEwitcH is right that's a lot more fun to say! XD
...Though on a more serious note, if you lost that smart-a** & sarcastic part of you like your mother hoped it would be awful! It just wouldn't be the same you. ;]

When your present is done, I'll show you. I have no control over when it gets finished, though. I just got the ball rolling on it.
Jinxeh, July 1st, 2009 at 04:33:41am
At least you still have the cooler sounding organ. Spleen is just a lot more fun to say than appendix.
rumbleroar, July 1st, 2009 at 04:32:57am
v Oh haha, okay. I was worried I had been calling him by the wrong name this whole time.

Welcome back, I guess. Hope you're feeling better. Jinxeh kept us updates XD
Well, back then the appendix was not such a useless appendage. Scientists theorize that the appendix used to be used to digest grass back when our ancestors ate leaves and other sorts of foliage. The theory was first suggested by Charles Darwin.
Hope that everything goes ok.
RIP Billy Mays...out of the deaths that occurred this week, his sadden me the most...that is weird...
Miss Authoress, July 1st, 2009 at 04:21:50am

And that's so cool that you got to see your parents. That's always nice. =)
I hope you're not in too much pain!
