In which I recently found out that my mom has an account, and didn't tell me. [I have no witty addition to this title.]
It was an odd thing, really. I was being my usual lurk-some self, and checking out some of the people following me via Twitter...and I paused. A screen-name looked familiar. I just couldn't place where I knew this person, for some reason.
It struck me that it could be someone from another website, who used the same - or a similar - username there as well. I stared at it for a few more seconds, decided I didn't really care either way, went to click out of the page...then paused.
"Oh...hell no!" was the shocked shout that echoed throughout the top floor of my house.
Downstairs, I heard the response - not difficult, since the laughing that then occurred was rather maniacal.
I raced downstairs to face the culprit and, in my fiercest and most demanding tone, shouted, "So...uh...why are you following me on Twitter, Mom?"
"Oh, you found that, did you?"
Oh, Mom.
I won't link you to her account or anything, but yeah. She's online, and most of my irl friends are also following her. (If I did link her here, hell - she'd probably gain more followers than I could ever get, wouldn't she?)
I also found out that my brother has a Twitter, which I noticed because my mom is also following him. In his profile picture, he has a lip ring. In real life, he has no piercings. In fact, the ring he has on in the picture is one of my unused septum horseshoes that I gave him a while ago. At the time, I had decided against asking him why he needed it, but now I know anyway. He should just go and get his lip pierced, though; it actually looks pretty good on him.
Go read this. Come on. You know you want a piece of this May-December "relationship."
Also, go read this. Of course I still work at the camp every weekday, for about seven hours, but I have the night off from my other job tonight, and tomorrow night. That means free time. So...update? We'll see, I guess.
Also, new glasses.
Nifty.

Thank God my mom doesn't have a Twitter. I'd literally die if she knew what I put on there. Mainly cuz she'd kill me.
The Fountainhead: I think it's equal. Although the glasses are pretty effin sweet. But so is the uncle with the frog babies.

Trying to decide which is cooler: you glasses or your family! Lol.

Haha! I'm gonna go find her!

Oouuu cute glasses. :]
...at least it's only Twitter... My mother stalks, not just checks up like normal parents, stalks me... and my friends. >:/ weird.

I'm so glad my Mum stays away from everything apart hotmail and amazon.
V that sounded s-l-i-g-h-t-l-y ominous...

Jinxeh, you'll never guess what PsychoSulfur and I plan to do to you.
:]
Is Twitter all that it's cracked up to be?
Just wondering.
Insanity's Artist, July 3rd, 2009 at 02:04:50am
v I can do that.
Pauley Perrette., July 3rd, 2009 at 01:24:53am
v Fine, but you do have to return her eventually.
Jinxeh, July 3rd, 2009 at 01:23:15am
I've said it before. You mom seems fairly cool. Can I like borrow her for a while? Please? I've a serious lack of a mother.
Pauley Perrette., July 3rd, 2009 at 01:14:09am
Man I mean I seriously don't know how to work it. Someone started following me on there . . .
I have like 3 accounts on there.

Whenever you write about your mom in journals it's always funny.
Cool glasses. They somewhat remind me of cat eye glasses...if that's what they're called.
rumbleroar, July 3rd, 2009 at 12:47:12am
v Eh, it's not for everyone.
Jinxeh, July 3rd, 2009 at 12:39:54am
Dude I don't even get Twitter
Kassi_Dawn, July 3rd, 2009 at 12:35:26am
Oh my God. That's great. Twitter is cool like that, the fact that you don't have to approve followers or anything. But I think that's pretty cool that your mom has one. My mom's the same way. :D

That's kind of weird that your mum was following you on Twitter. Kind of... creeper. But your new glasses are cool. x)
