Gay marriage
If this is a free contry how come gay couples cant get properly marryed? What happened to non-homophobicness. I want to marry my girlfriend, but its not actually marryage, i still have to change my name by depole. So basically we not even marryed. Its so stupid, i cant believe how perthic this world is. To be honest its no different for two females or two males getting marryed as it is for a male and female to get marryed. The only difference is its not one from each sex.
Why can't people and the law just get over the fact straight isnt the only sexuality anymore. At the end of the day does it not matter about the two people being happy and in love. You cant help who you fall in love with. You cant help who you fancy, males, females or both. Its just one of lifes choices you dont have choice on. like getting a zit, it happends not much you can do, you just have to get one with it.
Isnt that partly what marrage is about, showing your parnter that you love them and that your deicated to them. Showing them how much they mean to you. At the end of the day, yeah its a peice of paper, but its a piece of paper that means a hell of alot to you and the person you marry.
I personaly think is stupid, gay couples cant get proplerly marryed. We can have gay clubs, we can have help groups "except being gay" or whatever. People get arrested for being homophobic, but yet the government is so homophobic, it has the power to make gay marrage offical like straight couple marrage. But they do nothing just sit there and make stupid laws like u cant be homophobic. Blah blah fuking blah.

This is really true. The government ought to get over themselves seeing as I'm convinced half of the politicians are gay anyways....

can you get properly married in Canada?
FallenAngell, July 5th, 2009 at 07:55:42am
I'm a lesbian, I plan to marry and have children when I'm older. (I live in Canada)
I don't get pissed off about not being able to marry (Though, I don't at all agree with the discrimination we experience). But, if there's anything i've learned, in some peoples veiws, marriage between a Man and a Woman, is tradition. Yes, things are changing and we're gaining, more and more rights each day. But, it's going to be a while before we 'earn' (I've heard someone say we don't have right for it.) our right for marrage.
I'm sorry you two can't get married. Maybe come to Canada to do it, alot of Americans have done that.
if it was you, July 5th, 2009 at 02:55:18am
To be honest, I don't really believe in God and whatnot, so I don't really think we can use that for this. But if however he did, then he obviously did expect it, but he did not expect the human race to be so criticising of each other for their sexuality. Because, God thinks of everything in the fairest manner, but humans however do not; we are selfish and we think of ourselves before others. It's just how we work. 'Survival of the fittest' is what the best thing to describe this.
Ranting is good, it helps clear your head and clams your system.

Don't worry my brother is Dyslexic.
If you need to check spelling, use Word or something. It automatically finds your mistakes and highlights them. It's what I use if I'm stuck on something. (:

hmmm i know, but its still stupid, at the end of the day if god didnt want people to be gay or bi w/e why did he give us these feelings? he must of known or thought about it.
But yeh i get where ur comin from, all of you. idk i jst wanted a rant about it lol.
p.s i cant spell to save my life, i;m dixselixic ( not even spelt correctly).
FallenAngell, July 5th, 2009 at 02:28:06am
You may need to check your spelling for a few words, e.g. Marryed- Married
It helps if the words are spelt properly.
Other than that, most of it is roughly correct. The only reason why the Government will not legalise 'Gay marriage' is because the country is ruled by religion, so therefore the religious people in government stop it from being legalised. It is just one of those things, everything isn't fair and we can't all get what we want. We must however need to compromise, I think the 'Civil Partnership' was put in there for the compromise of Gay marriage not being legalised. I mean the government do not want to upset the gay community too much for fear of riots etc…
I agree that is it very unfair that gay people are not allowed to be fully committed by marriage to their partners, but I don’t think that there is much we can do about it. Government stop’s a lot of things that we would like to do. Unfortunately it is just something we have to put up with.

nope, only civil partnership, which is basically changin ur name by depole,
FallenAngell, July 5th, 2009 at 02:02:24am
I thought gay marriage was legal in the UK? Or parts of the UK
Sardonic Grin, July 5th, 2009 at 01:58:37am
nooo i didnt choose to be gay, ok ok i kinda messed up on the smokin and drinkin bit, dues to you sardonic grin. But the point i was tryin to make is that i thinks its un fair that i cant actually marry my girlfriend, well my fiance.
its unfair that because we both female we cant do what a male and female would do. I love her so much. and i want to be able to marry her. but i cant properly. but yeh.
FallenAngell, July 5th, 2009 at 01:54:26am
I'm not exactly sure what you're implying; the way I'm taking it is that you choose to be gay, but I may have misread your comment, so I apologize.
I personally think that we don't choose sexuality. We don't choose the pigment of our skin, we don't choose our eye or hair color, and we most certainly do not pick our birth families. It's not like changing your clothes or your religion.
Stranger In Moscow, July 5th, 2009 at 01:42:13am
Uhm, being gay is not a choice. It is something you're born with. it isn't as easy as waking up and saying "Hm, I think I am going to be gay." It isn't like picking up a drink or a smoke.
Sardonic Grin, July 5th, 2009 at 01:42:07am
no, the fact that being gay is up to the person, like if someone whats to smoke or drink its up to them
FallenAngell, July 5th, 2009 at 01:38:32am
Did you just compare homosexuality to smoking and drinking?
Sardonic Grin, July 5th, 2009 at 01:30:11am
Yeh its kinda like that in the UK, but not as much, but tbh its soundnt make a difference, theres not thing wrong with bein gay at the end of the day, its like smokin or drinking, of drivin or anything thats down to the person.
