Katsumi Tells All: Twilight
Okay let me start off by saying this is a very old post, I took it from my LJ and am just copying and pasting it on to here because well I feel like posting it up, since I probably wont have anything posted up till late wendsday night, early thurday day. and just so you know my post will then be HARRY POTTER & THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE.
Okay well your heard of Rupert and that other guy right, well this is Katsumi and her sham game....I have seen so many bad reviwes all damn day about the movie Twilight, here is a link to two of them:

Now its my turn to tell you just like it is, the cold hard truth (No pun intended) so set back and get ready as I unravel the truth and the lies
the down right nitty gritty hope you are ready for this
Okay so I will start off by saying I loved the move but it did have its flaws, which is to be exspected since this is a low budget film, I have to say best parts are fighting and Baseball.....Next on my list is The Cullen family.
Rose Cullen, can we say bigger bitch then I thought she was!
Emmett Cullen, the guy you just can help but love..Though sadly his screen time is short. Oh and you know that commercial where Emmett is all Edward she's not one of us, yeah thats not anywhere in the movie so don't have your hopes up for that.
Esme Cullen.You don't really see her much in this one but you really do get a feel for her motherlyness (Is that even a word?) and her kindness as well.
Alice Cullen my second fave of the family, All I can say is she kicks a lot of ass in this movie don't let her pixie like looks fool you.
Jasper Cullen. Not really much to say about him he is pretty quit doesn't say a whole lot in this one but, he does get to close to Bella un-like in the boo!
Dr. Cullen (Cant spell first name to lazy to google its 3:30 am) You see him a lot in this movie and he is portrayed the best.
And than there is Edward Cullen, in this movie he is not the smooth person from the book, he is more alkward and creepy and the faces he makes will have you laughing from beiging to end.
Thats all I can really say about them next I will have to say the critique who said and I quote "a bad cop mustache" They couldn't be more right the mustache did not work well for chairlie, and he is kind of OCC if you ask me but non the less very funny....Renee Bella's mom she actually get a lot of screen time more than what she get in the book, there are no E-mail's in this just a few phone calls and funny conversations. You even see Phile for a whole spilt couple of seconds a few times...Now lets meet the wolf pack and talk about how they kinda make me mad!
First is Jacobe you meet him very difrant in this movie than how it is done in the book, its not a bad thing but it does throw things off balance a little but not to bad.
Sam Uly, I am pleased to say the one line from the book "The Cullen's don't come here" Is in the movie.
Embry. He doesn't say to much he's just there.
Since I have introduced the wold pack I think its fair to warn you the whole beach scene is very short and nothing like the book I will say nothing more on this subject.....You will be happy to know "And so the Lion fell in love with the Lamb" is in the movie, but sadly the way it is said and done is not in book style but it is good non the less..Which brings me to good old Chapter 13 in the book I qoute this from someone else "(The moment when he sparkles in the sunlight looks especially cheesy.)" Is not complety true, but can you say chest hair EWWWWW!
Next is this Qouted from someone else "one near-sex scene that may offend a few Amish" Don't anyone get their hopes there is no near sex scene, there is how ever a very racy almost make out scene, with Bella in some ugly boy shorts underwear typ things no big deal...I also find the comment very Raciest but moving on..
Over all the movie is good, its half way true to the books but it moves a little to fast and misses one of the most important chapters in the book where you learn about Dr.Cullen, I feel this should have been in the movie somewhere I find it a very important part, if they plan on making the other movies, they also leave out where Bella & Edward are talking about Romeo & Juliet which is anothe important part I feel should have been in the movie if they plan to make New Moon work, any way all in all its a very good film for such a low budget and James is very hott with his shirt off..
As a waring to anyone going this weekend be prepared for the Fangirl screams and yells when certain people come on to the screen..On a side note, my fave quote was not in the movie so I to say it here "DID YOU STAB EDWARD CULLEN WITH A PENCIL?" sorry about that but I just couldn't believe it wasn't in there!!!
I qoute this from someone else "'Twilight' takes bite out of book's fun" Sadly this is true, you know how in the book there is that part where Bella & Edward are in his room and Alice & Jasper want to know if they can have a bite, not in there...But they make up for this with some othere midly decent humor that is aimed at an older audince which may not be such a good thing....Othere than these slight problems I have with the movie it is Ahmazing,,GO AND SEE IT!
Oh and the ending will shock you and leave you wanting more!

I'll agree with nerdy_. All the actors sounded like they were spitting out their lines; the actors started getting a little better a ways into the movie, but they were at their worst when they should have been at their best.
I would advise not getting so bogged down in the book... It's a movie adaptation, so there's a reason that it wasn't copied verbatim from the source. The scriptwriters don't know what your favorite lines are, and several of the ones you mentioned were fairly useless and just didn't need to be there anyway.

I saw the movie. I didn't like it. I wasn't impressed.
The characters were just so awkward around each other. The lines were just...forced. I've seen the director on the DVD and on TV talking, and it's no wonder the movie turned out the way it did. (She's very awkward herself is what I mean. Expecting her to produce something that wasn't awkward is like expecting an A in Calculus out of a straight C student. It's not going to happen.)
The only real credit I see toward the movie was the baseball scene. The reason why I believe it was so amazing was because of the background music. "Supermassive Blackhole" is great song by Muse, and it went perfectly with all the baseball action.
But kudos to you for comparing the book to the movie. =)
