Ohio - July '09

I don't know how to start this so I'm putting this sentence here (:

Basically, all we did was drive. (note: now I have Sneakernight by Vanessa Hudgens in my head) We drove for about six hours to Sandusky, Ohio.

The day didn't start out too great. When my mom went to go check out at the front desk of the hotel we stayed at, she found out that her Visa was denied. Come to find out, they charged it to Hotels.com's Visa and for some reason THEIR Visa was denied. Which makes no sense, but whatever. We got it figured out and we went to Cedar Point, the amusement park that has the most roller coasters in all the amusement parks in the world. My dad went on Top Thrill Dragster.

Top Thrill Dragster Physical Dimensions
Angle of Descent: 90 degrees
Lift Height: 420 feet
Track Length: 2,800 feet
Vertical Drop: 400 feet
Angle of Twist on Descent: 270 degrees
Angle of Lift Hill: 90 degrees

I didn't go on any roller coasters. I guess I was just chicken. AHAHA. Cedar Point is by far the cleanest amusement park I have ever been to. And it has TONS of rides.

We planned on going to Put-In-Bay, a tiny island off the coast of northern Ohio, but the forcast said that it was going to rain all day (which it did), so we drove to Cleveland and spent the day there. We ate lunch at at the Hard Rock Cafe, which had tons of cool memorabilia. But what had even COOLER memorabilia was the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Oh my gosh! I wish I could have taken pictures but they wouldn't let you. But I was, like, a few feet away from guitars and clothes that people like Elvis, the Beatles, Bon Jovi, Prince, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Michael Jackson, etc. played and wore. It was un-freaking-believable.

Jonas fans STOP!
Go grab your A Little Bit Longer CD.
I was less than a foot away from the outfits that they wore on the cover. They aren't in the Hall Of Fame of course, because you have to be inducted and you can't be inducted until 25 years after your first CD comes out, which would be 2031. Seems like a long time from now, right? AHAHA. Well, it actually is. But the museum had a section called Right Here, Right Now (apparently named after High School Musical) that had artists from around now. It included the Jonas Brothers, Paramore, High School Musical, Colbie Caillat, Sara Bareilles, and many more. And, believe it or not, Green Day is in the Hall of Fame already. Man! I had no idea it has been that long since their first CD came out. AHAHA.

After contemplating going back to Put-In-Bay, we decided against it and instead went to Kings Island, the OTHER major amusement park in Ohio. They have 15 roller coasters compared to Cedar Point's 17. And for 8 years in a row, they got the award for Best Kid's Area. They have a Nickelodeon place with a whole bunch of rides for little kids. The park is not as clean as Cedar Point, but it's still very nice. Then, after we left the park, we drove about 2 1/2 hours home.

Well, that's it. Sorry if I bored you :P

Note: I did not meet Mitchell Davis, but I did go through Dayton.
