Marianas Trench and Stereos Concert

So the other day me and my two best friends went to a concert. I'd seen both bands before, but the headliner, Marianas Trench, is my favourite band, so I was still incredibly excited. The opening band, Stereos, is a local band that recently got signed to Universal and released their first single, which has already gone platinum. There were some people who were waiting by the stage for six hours. It was an outdoor concert at a carnival kind of thing that goes on here every year, and it was a ridiculously hot day. We waited at the stage for about an hour and a half; I still can't quite understand how those other people stood there all day.

So we were pretty close for Stereos. I used my friend's camera for that performance because we got separated and I was closer, and his camera is way better than mine. But he sent me some of the best pictures.

So those were the best pictures I got of them. I couldn't get a clear shot of Aaron, the drummer. It's always so hard to get good pictures of the drummers!! Stereos also did a meet and greet, but by then we were too close to the stage to want to lose our spots. Besides, they're from here, and they've already booked another concert here. I'll get to meet them eventually. Then Marianas Trench came on. We wound up in the third or fourth row right in front of Matt, so most of my pictures are of Matt and Josh because they were the easiest to see.

So here's some of my best pictures from them. Honestly, I have so many that it's kind of ridiculous. It's hard to pick just a few favourites!

I don't know why I love this picture so much. It's Matt playing the keyboard, and there's a closeup of his hands on the screen behind him.














This was my sad attempt at finally getting a good picture of Ian, the drummer. I took it after all the lights were out on stage and he was getting his stuff together.


You can't really tell, but this was Josh throwing his towel off the stage into the crowd.

Then, right after the show, there were fireworks. We found out later on that there were over ten thousand people at the show. So I'm still kind of blown away that I got that close. I think that was the funnest concert I've been to yet. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if I got to talk to the band, like the last time I saw Marianas Trench. But overall, I can't complain. I saw my favourite band with two of my favourite people.
