Green Day. ;]
August 1st, 2009.
My 19th Birthday.
Last night was one of the most amazing concerts I have ever been too.
No lie.
This was better than seeing Avenged Sevenfold/Papa Roach, and A7X is my favorite band.
It tops all of them.
The Kaiser Chiefs played first.
Now, I've heard like three of their songs, so I enjoyed watching them. They are actually really good live.
I think the lead singer was kind of drunk though....he kept almost falling, and he was tripping over things.
The only songs I knew by them were I predict a riot, Ruby, and Oh My God.
The audience kind of nodded a long with them, but most of the people around me didn't know who they were.
Anyway, so Green Day comes on at about 8:30.
I couldn't tell you what song they started off with, but it was one off of the new CD.
I bought it a couple of days ago, finally.
The pyrotechnics and everything, they were amazing.
Tre Cool is blond at the moment.
During King for a Day, all of them are like, dressed up and stuff.....Tre had on a bra and a hat.
And he was singing something....it was hilarious.
Billie Joe left the stage and went up into the seats. He kissed one woman on the cheek, and hugged a bunch of other people.
He crowd surfed.
Mike came over to our side of the stage a bunch of times.
There were several kids they got pulled up on stage to sing random parts of songs.
One guy got pulled up to actually play Jesus of Suburbia.
I think that's what really made the night.
I mean, for them to want to pull people up onstage....that's freaking amazing.
Last night made a lot of people's dreams come true.
Billie Joe brought a freaking huge super soaker....that cooled us off for a few minutes.
They played about a billion different songs.
I knew more of the older songs then I did the stuff off of the new one.
There was one song they played right before Good Riddance that I fell in love with, I had never heard it before....but Billie Joe was playing those songs acoustically.
It was amazing.
Um, yeah, I think that's about it.
Oh and I got one of Tre Cool's drumsticks.
That made my night too.
:]
So, go see Green Day.
It will be the best night of your life.
Edit:
I know the name of that song now.
It's called Last Night on Earth.
Amazing song. Almost made me cry.

I was there! Best concert of my life! I was like to the left of the center and like a row of people for the barrier. I didn't see the bra, but I loved the hats they wear. XD Mike's cat ears! It's a good thing everyone could count to four. I loved the acoustic songs he did at the end. It was a nice way to wind down a show.
D: My sister touched him when he crowd surfed *I'm jealous*
The guy who played Jesus of Suburbia did a pretty good stage dive.
I've heard a few Kaiser Chiefs songs but the only one I knew by heart/title of was Ruby. Thank goodness for the radio.

Nashville!!! My friend drove down there. She was like in the third row and she got some kicka*s pictures.
Last Night on Earth is my favorite song off their new album. That and Viva La Gloria.
