Sorry Ranting
Since this is a journal on how I feel, I really hope this won't be counted as spam or anything.
As of lately there are things that just seem to annoy me. I rant to myself mostly but it seems like my annoyance is just growing. It's just things that I read and hear lately that are making me seem like a complete whiner.
It's just things like people with bad grammar. Saying things like "I seen.." and "I've been knowing about.." Simple things like that seem to be annoying me. They are little mistakes but that's not how I was taught to talk at all and it's not correct to me. And when I try to correct them and be nice about it they freak out and look at me like I'm stupid. When people write and use things like "I seen..." I can understand if it is being used in dialogue but if it is not then it's quite annoying. I've just seen it in many things, even newspaper articles. I don't have anything against people who say "I seen.." but when you are writing and say it in a descriptive paragraph then it seems to just take away from the writing.
Another thing is people who don't research the topics pretaining to what they write. I'm not criticizing anyone, but if you write about something like poisons, regions, characters in fan fiction, diseases, laws, specific procedures, time periods, or anything that someone could easily pick out seems pointless to me. If I don't know anything about a topic I am writing about then I research it until I do know. In my school newspaper people never seemed to research their topics and it was obvious, I've seen books and stories like that. To me it seems like the more you know about yourk topic the more realistic and intelligent you sound, but thats just me.
I'm sorry about my rant, it was just something that I have been thinking about a lot. I just needed to write it down and put it out somewhere. Hopefully this constitutes as a journal. :)

I know my writing isn't the best considering english isn't even my native language and this will probably sound hypocrite from me but damn, do I agree with you!
I even feel my eyes twitching when I'm reading awfully written texts.
And I know what you mean, I can't write unless I feel like I know enough about a subject and it totally annoys me when people don't do the same.
God I feel so b*tchy >.<
But you're amazing =D

Ahahaha, Ray. =]
Eh, my grammar is pretty good, I guess. I have typos (hence why I am a typo God XD). You just have freakishly good grammar!
One thing that bothers me about people's grammar, are when they don't use commas, periods, and stuff like that. The sentence just keeps going on and on and on, and I just can't take it! >=O
Haha, nice rant. I liked it. =D

i will say, my grammar slips, so i'll apologise to you for that haha. sometimes i write the way i talk, little sayings & 'slang'
and as for the research stuff, i suck at that. but i don't tend to write complicated stuff as i'll just get confused. my brain ain't as big as yours.
i just wanted to mention that sh*t before i say - excellent rant my friend. i agree with your words. you can say anything about this as your English is always up to par & it's clear that you do a lot of research.
RAY ROCKS!
(whoa you know what's a fun name? Ray Reeves LOL)

I forgot to add my thoughts on poor research. Well I am very into research. I love knowledge and when I wanted a puppy I did my research and even though my mom said no I researched for four years (I was fascinated and it just held my interest.. I researched a few other breeds too at the time but mostly one) I knew that I wanted animals after college and I might as well it may come in handy. Well about a week ago this girl saw this breed of puppy and she post on face book 'OMG I just saw the cutest puppy ever at the park.. Convincing mom to get a puppy' mind you she just got a kitten a few months ago. So with in four days this post came up on her facebook 'going to get our new puppy yay!' That annoyed me because how could she have been able to research the breed enough to know that this was right for her. Its going to be big its a lab and she has more than one cat at her house. How could they have found a breeder so quickly etc unless they adopted but doesn't that take longer than a week? Then what really annoyed me was she actually complained how hard and tiring this whole puppy thing was. Really? You should have known what to expect.
And it goes for writing too know your stuff because its a reflection of you.

I agree with you. The first thing of 'I seen' etc bugs me too. Bad grammar annoys me. I go to a private school and there's a lot of girls on scholarship from this really bad town and they all have the worst grammar possible I want to say something but they'll take it offensively.
