WARPED TOUR<3
<3
Warped Tour today... omg the best experience in my life, ever. Was able to listen to 11 bands, mad about not able to go to any signings but the performances and experiences makes up for it.
You'd never expect it but Forever the Sickest Kids' fans here in LA are crazy. I nearly died in the pit after 2 songs, then I had to leave and watch from the back - my first actual time in a pit with shoving and moshing and surfing, etc but still! I was doing pretty well but they were ridiculous. Caleb Turman is amazing live, and way cuter in person. I was able to be near front row in all the madness right in front of him. His face, hair, and eyes are breathtaking- I'd say that. There's just something about him.
All Time Low's crowd was crazy too. Man, they're fucking hilarious perverts. Though I got separated from my friends in the pit, it was all good. This guy next to me was being nice about space, and then I stood next to this other humungous guy who randomly throws people in the air and expect them to crowd surf. That was fucking scary. But I love them. They have a big fanbase. FTSK was a medium compared to them. Throughout their set, Jack acquired many bras hanging on his mic... and Alex got some sunglasses and took someone's hat HAH. Love Zack's bass. Oh, and I've failed to mention that somehow, just to clearly define the craziness of their crowd that I didn't think was on that level of intensity... my bra came undone o.o
ESCAPE THE FATE... omg, they're way way amazing - sounded wayy better than I expected live. For a band was screamo music, they actually sounded pretty great. First time I've been in a crowd that intense, and I fucking love it - I'm craving more. Oh man, their fans are hardcore. Instead of mostly Gallows fans, their set was filled with ETF fans; it was quite sad. Max is a strong screamo, Craig is pretty good, their crowd is rouch and intense. People threw shoes... but it was hilarious. A massive moshpit started and I was right on the edge, next to all the action. But hey, for a person that's short like me in such a big crowd, that was a good thing cause I got a clear view of them lovely boys. Hah that moshpit was crazy - it was nice to see it right up front. "Ashley" was an amazing performance; everyone was really into that. And who could ever forget "This War Is Ours" and its fucking Wall of Death? They ran it in reverse - from front to back instead of side to side. Fuck, amazingness and what a scene to watch. Love all the fright (cuz I didn't know what to expect) and excitement mixed with adrenaline. I'm dying to see them again.
ATL, FTSK, ETF<3 I'm seeing you all again... especially ETF & FTSK... I'll conquer your crowd next time.
Oh and I saw Jeffree Star twice, though he was there but didn't even perform? ... He's unbelievably stick thin... and... diva... damn, he's bright. And I had VIP pass from Music Saves Lives... could've met the Millionaires - saw them up close but I didn't bother to actually step one step to the side and cut everyone else to meet them... they just didn't seem interesting. And I only watched 3 of their songs... not only because The Adicts on the stage next to us went 15 minutes over their set and I had to get home in time, but also.. it wasn't that great. I'll be honest there.
I GOT TO SEE CASH CASH AGAIN! Amazing, as always. Alex Mahklouf got cuter xD and I didn't realize how ... short Jean-Paul was until he was actually standing next to me and I didn't notice because well... I didn't freakin' expect it. Oh, p.s., why would you wear a Metro Station shirt to Warped Tour... especially watching ETF? Well, I also wasn't very fond of thsi person... but still! Ah... I wish Bring Me the Horizon was there...
Hm... We The Kings... rofl I love Travis and their other guitarist. They're great - very sexual. Devil Wears Prada was pretty good - BIG crowd, mainstage madness. Chiodos had dedicated fans - EVERYONE in the crowd, as big as DWP's, was participating. It was a sight. Gallows... didn't really like them.... guy had a major attitude problem. Not to mention, he has issues with getting a large circle pitt started correctly. Saw the White Tie Affair, again... still think their guitarist is a total jerkwad haha. They had crazy inflatable men xD Saw I Set My Friends On Fire... didn't realize until just now that Chris Lent of FFTL played with them. VersaEmerge was pretty good (:
Amazing night; definitely doing it again next year - but this time... totally gonna try my best towards backstage passes. My friend had a fucking backstage pass and went backstage to every band we liked to see, doesn't even KNOW who they are, and takes pics with them and all just to brag. He took a picture with Caleb Turman. I went through his camera and gasped and glared at him and he goes, "Wait... who's that again?"
ROFL I don't understand why I got more ATL pictures and only like, two sorta-blurry ones of FTSK. None of ETF though ): Because it got dark by then so you can't see anything. I would've taken pics of the moshers but... I don't think blinding them in the face would be a good idea. Also, I love how the clearest zoomed-in shot of ATL, where I actually caught them, was of Jack and his bra-micstand rofl. Though I did get some clear, zoomed-out stage shots of them. One of Cash Cash, one of We the Kings but the sun was kinda glaring on Travis and... one of White Tie Affair just for the hell of it.
