Screw you, Audrey, my underwear IS cool. [Sid and Nancy, anyone? And let's talk about comics.]
It's too hot for pants right now, therefore I am sans them. The roommates will just have to deal with it. (Though I wouldn't be surprised if Branden found his way upstairs naked, to deal with the heat. He would do that.)
Apparently, Audrey T.'s house has a rule about that: you're only allowed to go pants-less if you have cool underwear on.
According to Audrey, since my underwear has no cartoons on it, my underwear is not cool. I guess orange and blue plaid and big purple button means nothing in terms of "coolness."
F*ck you, Audrey. My underwear is plenty cool.
F*ckin' good-for-nothing Mibba wife. Bad enough she's always sleeping around behind my back. Yeah, that's right, Sardonic Grin. I know.

The Simpsons skit where they parody Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen with Lisa and Nelson is on. Oh, it amuses me so.
I actually liked the "Sid and Nancy" movie, though didn't like the casting choice of Chloe Webb for Nancy. Spungen was no beauty queen, but Christ, they made her look like Hatchet Face in the movie. They should have given the role to Courtney Love - she wanted it, she auditioned for it, and she would have been perfect for it. Instead, they cast Chloe, and gave Courtney a minor role in which she appears twice, very briefly. Raw deal. Yeah, Courtney is batsh*t insane nowadays, but back then, agh, god, she would have been perfect for that role.

A couple of people have brought up comics in the journals today, and it got me to thinking about some things.
I'm sorry, but I still can't stomach X-23:

I did like her, at first! But it got to be too much, too quickly. Whenever she found her way into a new X-Men universe, she completely took over the storyline until the writers seemed to get bored of her. She's beautiful, rebellious, can kick the *ss of basically anyone, has crazy mad mutant abilities, a tragic past, and doesn't respect any of the X-Men adults she comes into contact with. In other words: total Mary-Sue, but because she's canon, her writers could get away with it. Ugh.
Plus...I mean, come on. Any female clone of Wolverine is not going to be the prettiest thing around. And yet...
Of course...one could argue that Wild Thing was never much better:

GOD X-23! I haven't seen her for ages! She's bad ass she infiltrated the mansion single handedly and took out most of the people.
KUDOS to this journal, it brought back memories where I just sat in front of my TV on Saturday mornings and watched X-Men.

I'm always afraid not to wear pants in my house. I change right in front of my open window, but what I'm afraid of is my brother. Lol. He always comes into my room and I fear it'll be when I have no pants. That would be...awkward.
I dig the clothes X-23 wears most of the time, but other than that I don't really like her. From the first time I saw her in X-Men Evolution I was all, "No. Just...no." I wasn't too pleased with the idea of cloning Logan.

Muaha. My little secret...
Jinxeh, September 16th, 2009 at 01:32:23am
v Maybe she's a secret agent? FBI ninja? I don't know!
Audrey T., September 16th, 2009 at 01:31:01am
AUDREY! HOW DID SHE FIND OUT!!
Sardonic Grin, September 16th, 2009 at 01:24:57am
I liked the Sid and Nancy movie too, but the actress, whatername, really annoyed me.
I've read somewhere that Nancy had a very annoying screeching voice, but I think the actress overdid it, she really tried way too hard and it came out very unnatural. It made me want to slap my screen.
My first thought was that Courtney should have played Nancy, though I didn't know that she auditioned for it. I think she would have done a better job.

Your underwear sounds cool to me. (:
Mirneeebear., September 16th, 2009 at 01:03:03am
OH NO! Mary-Sue!!
The only person that is allowed to be badass is Wolverine!
There is no reason for X-23's existance!! D:
NekoSquirrel, September 16th, 2009 at 01:01:19am
v New X-Men: Academy X, Uncanny X-Men, and a couple of others. Started off in the X-Men: Evolution show, though.
Jinxeh, September 16th, 2009 at 12:59:23am
Was X-23 in New X-Men?
Audrey T., September 16th, 2009 at 12:55:22am
Morpheus Seriously. I could deal with the "totally badass" thing, since Logan himself is pretty badass, if they would just be realistic about how she looks. But then again, 99.9% of all the female Marvel superheroes are these big-breasted sexy things... *sigh*
THANK YOU.
Jinxeh, September 16th, 2009 at 12:49:45am
She has no upper lip.
:twitch:
Every time I scroll back up to that picture, I can't stop staring at her lack of upper lip.
It's weird. D:

Crappy quality but a clip from it.
Audrey T., September 16th, 2009 at 12:48:54am
The female Wolverine would not be that hot. I would think more Madea looking, with fur. -_-
Plaid is plenty cool.

v It's one of my favorites, haha.
