For once, I just don't care about your drama, Mibba. [Big pimpin', yo. Or big whorin'. Whatever the term is.]
It's just one of those days. The weather sucks, I'm feeling sick, and I woke up after 5 PM knowing I'd slept my whole day away. But I just don't care, so...whatever. I'm just feeling a little down. I haven't done much to keep myself busy lately, having a couple of days off of work, so I think I'm just trapped in a little rut. I work almost all of next week, which I usually wouldn't be exactly thrilled about, but at least it'll keep me occupied.
I need the money, anyway. I'm doing all right, but I'll be grateful to get my paycheck when I go in for my shift tomorrow. (I'm lazy, and keep forgetting to set my bank account up with direct deposit, d'oh.) Almost all of it is going to rent and bills and all that, but that just means it's less to come directly out of my bank account. Next paycheck is aaalllll mine. And by "aaalllll mine," I mean "aaallllll going to groceries and a new camera and gas for my car." Aw yeah, adulthood.
--
When I woke up, the house was very quiet. That was concerning. Five people, four cats, a lizard, and a hamster all live in this half of a house, so it's never quiet. Usually, when it is, that means something is wrong. Branden's car was here, so I tip-toed down to his basement room and thought I saw him lying on the couch.
It...wasn't him. It was some girl; I think it's one of his co-workers. She woke up and we just kind of stared at each other awkwardly for a moment before she pointed to the bed on the other side of the room. "He's still sleeping."
"Am not," came a hoarse reply from the bed. "My alarm clock is going to go off in four minutes. F*ckers."
Whoops.
I think someone needs to teach Branden about the "if you're going to have someone over, ask first" rule. Not that anyone is ever going to say, "No, you can't have anyone over," but it's just nice to know when anyone other than those who pay rent here are going to be hanging out. How am I supposed to know if it's safe to walk around in my underwear if there might be strangers in the house?
--
I'm watching "X-Men: Evolution" right now. Man, Logan has a freakishly small waist. (He's also really emo, but he's always a bit emo, no matter the universe, so...) But then, everyone in this show does; the animation is so weird. None of those females are ever going to be able to birth their own children. C-sections for everyone! Whoo!
--
There was drama earlier, apparently? I don't know much about it, and for once I don't really want to. I just...don't care. I had my drama last night, with Audrey T. and Dancing Caveman. I think all of that filled my Drama Quota for the week. Try again on Monday, that's when my levels reset.
--
The girl just came upstairs. Apparently, her name is Vanessa. I...still have no idea who she is. Huh.

Big story pimpin', yo.
Just...read these, okay? I am so incredibly picky about the stories that I read, so if I really thought something was sh*t, I wouldn't be recommending it to anyone. So take my word for it, these ones might be worth a look:
Pete: A Pete Wentz fanfic being written by Audrey T. She asked me to give her story a chance, and I did. I'm rather glad that I did, too. I'm not a fan of any of those "FBR" bands, and so I never read much fic about any of those people, but this one is...original, in its own rights. Pete / OC fic, but not a romance. I'm actually quite looking forward to seeing what she can really do, with the promise of a friend fic from someone whose writing talents I already admire. Short chapters, interesting style.
Awkward: Admittedly a self-indulgent recommendation for you. "Awkward" is a Green Day fic that I'm co-writing with Audrey T., and despite that her writing tends to blow mine out of the water, I think we work together quite well, and we're both enjoying the writing process. This story is a Tré Cool fic, in which we explore the age-old bandfic cliché of, "Band dudes meets much younger girl, band dude f*cks much younger girl, no one seems to mind the age difference." That one never sat quite well with us - I mean, honestly, with all of the fifteen-year-olds getting f*cked by band guys nearly twice their ages on this site, you'd think Mibba was a fetish site for such things. We want to write that, but make it realistic. Come on, you know Billie and Mike are going to have something to say about that. (Note: Said female OC is not fifteen years old. She's twenty. As much as I'd like to really bash the life out of that particular cliché, there are some things I just won't write...and child porn and pedophilia are just a couple of those things.)
Typical Girls: Written by nokomis305. A fic hosted on LiveJournal, not Mibba, but one that I love just...ugh, so much. It's almost disturbing, how much I adore this story. Try this one on for size: high school fic (don't turn away yet, it gets better) in which Gerard Way decides to dress up as girl in order to win the affections of Lyn-Z the lesbian. Very sweet, very weird, very hilarious little fic, and a definite favorite. Bert McCracken is not an unlikable *sshole! Other band members, also students, are merely given cameos! The author actually seems to know what using decent spelling and grammar are! A miracle! I could go without the slash peppered in here or there, but at least it's mostly Gerard / Lindsey, Frank / Jamia, and Mikey / Alicia / ...Pete Wentz. Which at first I hated, but it turns out so adorably that you can't help but be moderately okay with it. The most amazing part of this story, however? The best character in the whole thing is Gerard and Mikey's mom.
Forever, Now: A sad, sweet little fic written by passe_simple, and that is also hosted on LiveJournal. If you can look over some of the more irritating cliches that rear their head now and then (a bit of an angsty start, which can appear over-the-top now and then, and then the eventual appearance of kid!Bert McCracken...who is, of course, an unlikable *sshole, etc.) then it still comes off as a well-written and nice slice of sweet and poignant fanfiction. Kid!Gerard and Mikey find themselves living under the roof of a slightly unwilling Brian Schechter. I was less than thrilled with the appearance of several FBR men as Brian's co-workers, but their parts are small and therefore easily read, and I was quite able to get over Brendon Urie becoming a major character since said character also turned out to be adorable, and very well-rounded. Also, kid!Frank is pretty much the best thing ever, so this fic is made of win, regardless.
No Man's Land: Oh, you knew this was coming. It might be updated tonight, so watch out for that.
Cutting this short, because I'm rambling, but there are a few more worthwhile fics linked on my profile here on Mibba. So, if none of these stories tickle your fancy, maybe one of those will. It's worth a look, anyway.

SardonicGrin is turning into quite the internet whore. :(
Audrey T., September 27th, 2009 at 03:36:49am
It's your fault. Flaunting his picture around. It was bound to happen. Just accept it.
Sardonic Grin, September 27th, 2009 at 03:34:18am
v Oh dear.
Jinxeh, September 27th, 2009 at 03:31:12am
You never whore my stories :( *sniffles* You are so mean to me.
Oh and you know I am following Branden on twitter. It's cause he's hot and funny. Just thought you should know. I'm making my rounds.
Sardonic Grin, September 27th, 2009 at 03:29:34am
TheFountainhead, Mrs. Way from that story is one of my favorite fanfic characters OF ALL TIME. (OF ALL TIME.) I just love her so much in that story. My favorite part was how she found her son dressed up in drag, and was just like, "Well, don't hurt whatever girl you're after. I didn't raise any hussies!" Oh my god, I laughed so hard when I read that scene.
Also, in "Forever, Now," I just pretend they are OCs. I don't know anything about many FBR dudes, so it was easy for me.
Jinxeh, September 27th, 2009 at 03:14:23am
At least Batman's not a mutant.
Dancing Caveman, September 27th, 2009 at 03:13:48am
I have to agree, the appearances of various other band personalities in "Forever, Now" did irk me, but I think part of that is my personal taste. At least it was a well-written story. But I just know it would have been stronger if there were OCs instead.
I got up to Mrs. Way's appearance in "Typical Girls" and had to stop reading. I was crying too hard. From laughter. I hadn't laughed like that in over a year. It was really, really funny.
I have to admit, you have yet to rec something I haven't liked. Go you.
TheFountainhead, September 27th, 2009 at 03:12:17am
v. Oh snap.
eulogy, September 27th, 2009 at 03:11:35am
v Yeah, well I don't like billionaire playboys who dress up like winged rodents at night. HOW ABOUT THAT?
Jinxeh, September 27th, 2009 at 03:10:04am
My dad used to watch the cartoon, and I never liked it much. I was also forced to watch one of the movies, and I hated it.
I just hate mutants.
Dancing Caveman, September 27th, 2009 at 03:05:48am
v I like certain universes. A lot of the "newer" characters really irritate me, though. Freakin' X-23...I still don't know why she exists.
Jinxeh, September 27th, 2009 at 03:02:50am
I hate X-Men.
Dancing Caveman, September 27th, 2009 at 03:01:43am
That first rule of the house is very important... I wish my brother's followed that, because I really hate it when I need to run downstairs in a towel/pj's and suddenly their friends are there. o_o
MaryJulianna, September 27th, 2009 at 02:58:54am
Yeah..
I don't really care about the drama anymore either.
Ugh, the weather does suck.
It's been raining here since last night...and it had rained up until like Thursday I think.
I'm sick too, but thank God it's just a sinus infection...still makes me feel all ugh though.
Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out the drama between all of you guys too.
I figured it was just one big joke anyway...but I don't know.
WalkingOnBrokenGlass, September 27th, 2009 at 02:58:19am
I've had those days. You don't want to talk to anyone; just want to sit there and wallow. Oh the fun... :P
I've also been walking through the house and see some random people.... my parents have a lot of old friends I don't remember from when I was younger.
X-Men is awesome.
That drama was pointless. Someone posted a journal about how they cut and apparently some people were too cruel, and people refused to shut up about it.
I'm still trying to figure out that drama you had last night.
Awkward is amazing... ::file:
