I'm very sparkly today. But I'm not a creepy, obsessive, controlling vampire, so...that's a plus. [Story updates. Finally.]

That sh*tty webcam picture doesn't even do them justice. They're so shiny.
Caitlin told me they had them in at her store, so yesterday I dropped by and picked out my size, and she used her discount to get them for me. (She also has a pair, though her shoes are hot pink.) I love my roommates. Branden works at a diner, Caitlin at a shoe store, Chelsea at a fake Starbucks, I work in a retail store that sells basically everything...I get discounts on a lot of the necessities. (Becca does not get me any discounts. She has a job title like Data Analyst and Statistical...something... something... technical something...or other. I don't know, I can never really remember, nor properly pronounce it.)
I've learned that when I apply my new MAC eyeshadow with the right consistency, it can be very, very sparkly. And, I just bought new posts for my labret piercing. I really only bought the little pack because it came with a retainer, and I needed that for my job interview yesterday morning. (A retainer is a small plastic or acrylic post you stick in a facial piercing so it's not very noticeable. Very useful.) It came with four other metal posts, and the bead on the end of each one has a colored gemstone fit into it. I'm wearing the sparkly crystal one today. (Yesterday, after my interview, I wore the red one. It is also very sparkly.)

So now, I'm just kind of sitting on my couch right now, being all happy that I'm really sparkly and the cats are paying extra attention to me.

What's up with Tinypic? It wouldn't let me host that second image, so I had to take it over to Imagefra instead (which used to be Picoodle, so when did that happen?). Plus, for me, Tinypic is all written in German right now. Which, yeah, isn't that big of a deal; I speak enough German to still understand it, and even if I didn't all the buttons still look alike so I can upload pretty easily still, but just...the hell? This is weird.
Wait, okay. So I just changed it back to English, after I found that menu. But it's still being weird. I dunno. It's possible Tinypic just hates me.

You know what's fun? That I no longer have to keep saying, "No, I swear, No Man's Land has a good chance of being updated tonight!" I updated it last night, after I got the chapter back from Sardonic Grin (who was being quite lovely, and beta-read it for me despite how very long that chapter is).
Even better - Audrey T. finished the next chapter for our Green Day co-write, Awkward, last night, and so that was updated right after NML was. C'mon, Mibba peeps. Tré Cool fic, an OC yet not really any "romance," our attempt to work with a cliche and make it work...it's fun stuff. And Audrey's latest chapter is just fantastic. (When I was reading through the new bits yesterday, after it was sent to me for beta-reading, it actually gave me chills. God, she's talented, isn't she?)
I'm already working on the next NML chapter. For some reason, the beginning line for Chapter 48 just struck at me this morning, so I went with it and I've already got a few pages done. I've been working on the 5th chapter of "Awkward" for a while, now, and have a bit done for it. (Audrey T. and I do take turns writing the chapters, but we talk about the story in enough detail to where we can write ahead without it being a problem, even when it's not our turn to update.)

Two of the roommates, Becca and Branden, are in the basement right now and signing. Not very well, might I add. They must be playing Rock Band. Or else they just...like to stand in the basement and sing Alanis Morissette songs to one another. I have to say, it's not that unlikely; Branden has been fangirling over her since she started her guest-spot on "Weeds."

Me too, I thought I'd done something wrong.
I feel so accomplished, finally finishing that chapter, and relieved. XD Now I don't feel so guilty anymore about working on other projects.
