Quotes with Multi-Meanings: "Kiss Of Death"

Er, Hellos, and let me thank you for even bothering to look at my entry.

What I am planning to do is make a little series about random quotes and what they mean; so basically dissect their words and their various meanings.

Let's get straight to the point- the 'Kiss of Death', what does that mean? I had just logged onto Mibba thinking, I haven't posted an entry today (it's fun to post these things) so I was trying to think of something to post and suddenly, out of no where, I get this thought shoved into my head 'kiss of death.'

Some of you may be thinking 'wow, she's an idiot for not knowing what that means. Truth to be told, I do, but there really isn't an answer like 1+1= 2; it depends on how you look at it.

First way: the kiss of death can be interpreted as like you're near death, so death has brushed its lips against you and just barely let you escape.

Second: It can be taken literally as a kiss, as the one before this was taken literally death. Death, for this one, is death upon your self. Wow, that wasn't a great explanation at all. What I really mean is you lose yourself and what you strive to be as an individual. So, how 'death and kissing' ties in is when you fall heads over heels for a guy and basically the death is yourself.

Third: When you are doing and you know you are doing something bad and emotionally and/or physically fatal, would be like begging for a kiss of death.

I admit, this wasn't the best but I really wanted to get the idea out there and hear what the community of Mibba thinks.
