Fairly Short Rant About My Chemical Romance
About MCR ---
To me, My Chemical Romance is the world. A song by them is almost always on my mind. If not their music, then something My Chem related to occupy the space. MCR will always have up there. In 2004, the video for Helena was on On Demand for Comcast. My cousin used to babysit me, and he liked the song. He watched the video that summer and I saw the phrase MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and it caught my attention. It stuck in my head and remained dormant until April this year. April 10, to be exact. On DC101, I heard WTTBP and they said it was by MCR. Later that day, I googled 'My Chemical Romance' and watched the video for Famous Last Words. About 3 months later, I had heard 7 songs by MCR. My dad took me to the Blue Marlin restaurant where his friend Mrs. Debi G. was too. I told her and Mrs. Debbi D. My favorite band and Debi had heard of MCR. In fact, she had the CD. When we(my dad and me) left, she came out and got her TBP CD from her car and let me borrow it. A few months after that, I got Life on the Murder Scene and learned all the songs on there. Two months ago, I bought Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and my favorite song for a while was Hang 'Em High. I've been to a show. Projekt Revolution, August 19. It was phenomenal, just like their videos :3

P.S. You don't care, but my right bra strap broke and it feels weird.

Lisa, she's not spamming or breaking any journal rules. She's talking about something she loves. Let her be and don't make up your own rules.

I hated them because they were super popular and everyone else loved them. I avoided them completely until someone told me about the band's love of comics. And, well, I'm a comic-geek (I'll admit it), so I couldn't resist checking them out after that. I watched 'I'm Not Okay' on youtube and was just like, "dammit, they're good..."

PS. I meant in the MCR thread in the music forum. >.<

There's no such thing as a "true" fan anyways of bands. You like them or you don't like them, you don't need to abide by rules to be a fan of a band. Like those stupid 10 commandment things that 1 in every 3 mibba user has on their profile. Or "You're a true fan if..." things. Stupid pointless sh*t those things are.

Kay, I made a forum.

That depends on how long they feel they need to take recording an album.

Ps, love.kills? MEGA MEGA LOLZ! The cd is going to waste!? They've released 4/14 songs as singles and even THAT is too much.
Dance Commander., December 28th, 2007 at 12:21:21pm
Yeah, Kill-_-City is right about the album. They're due. One album every two years!
Sunflower., December 28th, 2007 at 12:20:24pm
It's a very bad album in YOUR ears, but not in mine or any other TRUE fan. I love the Black Parade, but I love Revenge more.
Sunflower., December 28th, 2007 at 12:18:45pm
If you milk a big album like TBP, it's just gonna get old even faster. Besides, there's gonna be a new album next year.
Kill City, December 28th, 2007 at 12:18:40pm
Hey, love.kills?
Mega lolz.
Because what you're saying, to me, is like saying so a 14 year old whos into the Beatles, "You're a poser because you weren't a fan around when they released Sgt Pepper."
Or saying to me, "You're a poser because you weren't a fan of Michael Jackson when he released Off the Wall 21 years before you were born"
I'm sorry but saying someone can't be a fan of MCR because they only recently (well its been a year now but w/e) got into them is just ridiculous. It's great that you knew about them back around Bullets, but clearly, with their not-so-world-wide fame at the time, not everyone was gonna hear about it.
TBH, when I first heard Im Not Okay, I thought "who the f*ck is this fatty telling me he's not ok?!"]
But I wouldn't consider myself less of a fan just because, in 2004 I was more interested in Prince and Michael Jackson.

*Points to MCR thread* All MCR talk goes there, not in the journals
