My Chemical Romance, Live In Manila - 01/25/07 [Part 1]

Okay.
I don't know where to start, so I'll just narrate from the beginning.

I went online the morning of the concert for a few minutes, hyperspazzing. I think everyone could see how insane I was. XD
Then I packed my bag, which included my camera, Revenge CD, pants and shirt and money.
Then went to school.

My friend gave me TUA 4, for the signing that would supposedly happen.

We were practicing for cotillion dancing, for the prom, and I swear time moved so slowly.

Me: What time is it?
Someone: 9:46

-does stuff, runs around school, etc.-

Me: What time is it?
Someone: 10:15

-_- / O.o

And I brought out Keep the Faith and it got around, and people got another hint of how much I loved MCR. It was hard to explain it all, really.

So, yeah. Then I got a bad cold and was worried that my sneezing will keep me from enjoying the concert, so I went to the clinic and forunately the nice doctor was there who gave me medicine and let me sleep.

Then she woke me up just in time. 12:30. We were leaving the school at 1, cutting class [with permission].
The principal actually thought we were going to Disney On Ice. XD

We changed into MCR gear and everyone was all either 'Oh, the concert's today!' or 'Wow! Emo!' I even got so fucking sick of the emo that the next guy who commented I punched hard in the shoulderblade. I couldn't take it. It was fucking annoying. Everyone got silent after that.

Anyway...

Then we were just leaving school, and I realized I forgot my phone, so a friend went back for it. Then we ate fries and ice cream at McDo because we knew we would puke if we ate too much before the concert.

So, we got a cab and headed for Taguig. On the way, we were discussing how Gerard was on the news yesterday and if only someone taped the interview or we actually ran into hem. Then my friend got a call from her friend, who said she saw MCR at SM Makati [mall in the Philippines], at TOY KINGDOM. Carrying SM SHOPPING BAGS. She talked to them and took a pic with Mikey, hugged Bob, and hi-fived Gerard. I wanted to smack her; I was so jealous. If only I was there! We were all squealie in the cab, then after the call an MCR commercial came on the radio, and we quieted, and I think the driver was amused at us.

Then we arrived in Taguig and went to a mall first, to spend the time. The guard who opened the door to check our bags were all 'Mag-concert kayo, miss?' (Are you going to the concert, miss?) And we were all smiley. Then we went to the ladies' room to put on eyeliner, then went out to put on black nailpolish. We were getting stared at by then, but whatever.

Then we decided to go to the venue at 4, and there were like so many guards and ushers outside, and we could hear the tecchies inside. The guard said they were letting people in at 5, so we left and hung out at another mall nearby.

We were also trying to figure out how to smuggle in our digicams since they weren't allowed, and we put it inside our shirts and our bras. XD While waiting some people would pass by and remark 'Uy, uy, rocker 'tong mga to, oh!' (Hey, hey, these are rockers!) and would be singing 'When I was, a rocker...' [and they were kids!] and I wanted to show them just how much fucking rocker fists they wanted to taste. This guy sang 'I don't love you' as we walked by and I wanted to say 'I don't love you either!'

So when 5 rolled in we stood in line at the Gold Right [where our seats were], and slowly people were coming in. We were asking if there was a signing [I needed to give KTF] and what time they were letting people in, and they said they didn't know. We were also nervous about the digicams then found out it was okay for small cameras to go in.

Then my other friend came and the line was growing bit by bit, and as people passed by we tried to guess where they were seated. Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Gen. Admissions. Though I mentioned that I am not fond of the label 'emo,' some dudes passed by who looked like they were right out of a stereotyping convention, and it was hard not to laugh.

Then a girl came and was telling her dad about how she met Frankie the day before, and we got pissed and envious so we brought out our issues of Umbrella Academy and her eyes widened. XD

Also, some people were passing by with posters and we wondered where to get them. I even went to the ticket booth to ask, but they didn't know.

Then, another bunch of posterized people came, so I went up and asked where to get them. Then I realized one of them was selling. There were two kinds of posters, like... the size of two bond papers, each for 5 pesos. All of us in line got one and I was glad I stopped to ask [and it's funny, since only a few minutes later the price went up to 20 pesos each XD].

Our other friends who are only in Gen. Ad came by car and waved and went to their entrance.

They let people in at 6.

So we rushed to our seats [Row O, 58-60] and they weren't that far from the stage, but we still wanted to be on the fence, in front of the front row, when it starts, so we began slowly working our way up. XD We took vain pics and were glared at by the bouncers. XD We'd see people going into VIP and get jealous [though Gold and VIP are in the same section, the entire middle part in front of the stage is VIP, and Gold is divided into left andright].

Funny convo we overheard:

[Btw, the seats in the field were almost empty then, and all facing the stage]

Guy: *sounding problematic* Pare, saan ba sila nakaharap? [Man, where will they be facing?]

XD

Anyway...

I was also stil stressing about giving MCR KTF, so I was trying to contact Ally [the Damned] because she was in VIP and asking around for a signing. Then we overheard a girl screaming 'I can't believe I'm gonna meet them!' and I asked her how, and she won a radio contest. I begged her to give KTF, then she said the people won't even let her take some portraits she made of them, 'coz they were hard. So, yeah. And she asked me how long I've been a fan in a kind of snobbish way.

I was still desperate, so I asked the ticket sellers and they weren't the heads of Viva [concert organizers], and in my search for Vivians I stumbled upon a merch booth, where I both a 200 peso poster and an 800 peso Teenagers jersey.

Then me and Jojo [guiltfeeder] found each other, and we were all 'OMG! ATE ISA! JO!' and we wanted to go out to Gen. Ad. to meet Kei [Idee Fixe/Juliet Capulet]. We were all squealie once again, and we tried to smuggle Kei into Gold but she wasn't let in. :( Me and Jo parted ways since we were in diff. seats and she and her brother won't leave theirs, while me and my friends are drifting about.

Then I asked around for KTF again, then found out that signings were only for VIPs and they were already done. The girl who won the radio contest had a signed poster and said it was lamely short [like, 30 secs] but MCR were so nice and were 'their usual selves.' I asked to shake her hand but she said Gerard shook it, and she wouldn't let me take a pic of her poster.

So then I ran to the fence where they took the VIPs [there was a big white tent, where MCR was] and I asked a girl who I saw from her ID was from Viva. I asked her if she could give MCR something from me. At first she thought I was asking to meet them, and I explained that no, I just needed them to get the book. She seemed to be surprised and kind of delighted that I was such a fan, so she said that she didn't have a pass inside, but her friend did. So she called her friend, and while waiting she asked me what it was. I said it was a book, by 27 authors, and she was just like 'Wow.' Then her friend came and we explained it, and she was like 'Fanatic ka talaga, ah!' [You're really a fanatic!] And I asked if it could be given directly to them, and she said yes, she was gonna talk to the road manager [Brian!] for it to be given to the band themselves. I thanked them and gave it and felt relieved, and slightly nervous that I put contact details at the last page, and if they'll actually read it.

So I went back to my friends, and we just kept transferring chairs until we got to the fourth row [row F] which were hopefully unoccupied. We wanted a clear running space when the concert started to get to the fence first.

Then as the place started to get really filled, the opening band called Pop Shove It came on and we ran to the front, but the bouncers made us go back to our seats, saying it wasn't allowed to leave them even when it was the band who said so. Idiots.

The opening act was pretty good. We thought it would be some crappy local band but they were Jamaican and sounded cool, almost like the next Linkin Park. Though we were all just sitting down and watching since no one knew the songs.

Some celebs from Pinoy Big Brother were there, and we took pics to show our friend [who doesn't like MCR but was there just for kicks] since he was a reality show junkie.

Anyway, Pop Shove It left and we were all just... buzzing for MCR. I was nervous since I wanted to be right in front of the fence, but worried that the bouncers won't let us.

Some people came on and we thought it was like 'OMG IT'S BOOOOBBB!!' but through binoculars we saw it wasn't.

Suddenly, the lights went off and a single spotlight shone, and we heard the opening riffs and ran to the front.
