Oh dear...I just called him a her...
Well I don’t know about you but ever have a day were you just might be walking, like maybe down the street and you see a little child run down the street, and they come running after you? Well I didn’t know this child and as it comes over to me, it asks me to get its ball that it threw across the road, in which I did and returned it back as its mother comes along.
First words I say
"You have such a cute little girl."
The woman looks to me, looks taken aback for a second before she gave an awkward smile.
"Hun, this is my son." I was embarrassed
My eyes had practically fallen out of their sockets. I didn’t know. He was wearing pale blue jeans with a faded red shirt that looked somewhat pink. He also had long blond hair.
My mother had problems like this before since she’s a kindergarten teacher and sometimes she'll get remarks form other teachers saying that one of her students did this or something and call them girls.
O_O
Has anyone had experiences like this? Or am I going crazy?

When I was in sixth grade there was this person in my class. It took me about a month to figure out she was a girl. I felt like a dumbass.

Haha those things happen.
When I was a little girl, I had sort of short hair, and this girl came up to me and goes, "Are you a boy or a girl?" It was a bit embarassing for me...I actually used to worry myself wondering if I was actually a boy, I was sort of boyish, short hair, etc. XD

Don't worry, it happens.
OH--In fact, today after school, my sister and I were walking home and this guy who goes to my school waked by, and she said, "Is that a girl?"
And I said, "No, that was a guy."
It was pretty hard to tell 'cause he had really straight hair down to his butt that looked straightened.
(:

Haha... yeah, you're going crazy.
No, if you were, I'd have worse troubles. I thought a ninth grade girl was actually a boy, and when my friend told me she wasn't a he, I was like "...oh... really?" and was really embarrassed...
It's worse if they're older than that. At least it was just a kid, right? They can be difficult to gender-ify sometimes.
