Okay, seriously?
How many times have you seen that kind of thing in a profile?
Yeah, I hate being labeled, but I'm emo. Sooo emo. But don't ever call me emo, cuz labels suck. I can label you, though. You stupid preps. Go die. I hope you choke on your mini skirts and Abercrombie jackets. Go fuck yourselves with pom-poms.
Just get over yourself. Seriously.
Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. Everyone gets to bitch once in a while, right?
Now you can all agree with me even though you've done this before. (You know you have.)

Dear The Master Tape,
You make me smile :D
harlequin., February 19th, 2008 at 10:19:04pm
Yeah... that's pretty annoying.
But really I don't mind labels. Everyone labels everyone. It shouldn't effect people as much as it does.
Chadam, February 18th, 2008 at 10:01:53pm
I'm happy. I'm neither of those 'labels'.
I'm a fully fledged geek. =]
I like being a geek. My looks suit being a geek.
It makes me happy.
So...I don't often get mentioned by either party. That's nice but insulting at the same time. Yes...I am talking gibberish.
Anyway, humans label things because they have the innate urge to label things so they understand them. However, when it comes to people this quirk goes hyperdrive causing cognitive misery - the oversimplification of the human mind to take pieces of information and previous experiances to build up an image of what a person should be based on the exterior.
Example of this:
Girls can't throw balls.
All people who wear hoods are potential muggers.
Kids with glasses are smarter.
Junk like that.
=]
I love being a geek.

It's not that I care about the actual labels, just when people say labels are so wrong then use them.
The hypocrites.
harlequin., February 16th, 2008 at 01:36:10am
Uh... I don't really care about labels, really. I mean, I listen to what people call emo music and wear thick eyeliner which make people think I am emo which I don't think I am. At the same time, I love pink and Paris Hilton. o.O
Sweet Innocent, February 16th, 2008 at 12:52:26am
Agreed.
I have a friend who labels, and says she hates them.
LudoLove, February 16th, 2008 at 12:40:01am
I agree.
But I also think its almost humanly impossible to NOT use labels.
They're all so intertwined with everyones daily lives that it become habitual.
falling not flying, February 16th, 2008 at 12:24:33am
Also agreed. I hate labels, but at the same time I'm so hypocritical, because I probably used to do it every minute of every day. I used to be such a wannabe XD.
Labels are okay if your putting yourself out to follow that "label". Like, if you dress in all black and wear skinny jeans and love the hardcore sh*t and stuff, then obviously you'll be called emo. Abercrombie, Pink, whatever, so your a prep. Labels are just a way to group a bunch of people who like the same stuff as other people. Kind of like a cult.
To be honest, labels should be left for soup cans. It's just became into a bullying thing which kind of annoys me.
-rant over.
I agree, anyhow.
bananadorf., February 16th, 2008 at 12:11:55am
I agree.
Though I label myself as punk/rock, which is viewed by other people as emo. So whilst I don't mind labels, I wish that people would get the right labels if they're gonna refer to people, instead of calling them something which they're not.
So yeah, I don't mind labels, though I don't like it when people are misinformed and label you as something that you're not.
Lightning Zap, February 16th, 2008 at 12:06:40am
Agreed.
We've all done this.
And I try not to label anymore.
Most of the time I succeed.
But yes, I agree. :)
