Future Careers?
I've been thinking, like always. This time about what I'm going to do with my life. People keep asking what I'm going to do with my life, and I really have no idea. I want to be a musician. I think. At least I used to want to be one. A lot of people on here want to be a journalist, novelist or writer of some sort.
People I talk to about this are all "What are you good at?" And although I kind of think you should be good at what you do, you also should want to do it. I want to have an underlying passion about something. Just because I own at English, it doesn't mean that I will ever, ever want to be an English teacher. I might be a great singer, but I don't know if I want to be on Broadway. I don't really have people compliment me, I don't really have people helping me in any way. Maybe it's because I'm so damn stubborn. Maybe.
I feel like this whole thing is being shoved on me, and probably some of you guys feel like that, too.
What do you guys want to do when you grow up? Why? What makes that specific career click for you? Also, any advice as to where I could look at career lists to help me find something I might want to do?

I wanna be an orthodontist :]
for the simple reason that I love smiles.
I'd probably get bitten, but I'd like to be an orthodontist because despite disliking my train tracks when I had them, I wouldn't of had it any other way and I'm majorly grateful to my orthodontist.

i'm honestly as confused as you about what i want to do...and i have to apply to university in october!
you can find online test type things that ask you loads of questions about your life and what you like and stuff, and then they give you a list of jobs you might be suited to. maybe you should try one of them...

I'm going to try to be an English teacher for ages 15 or so. Because... I like English, I'm reasonably good at it right now, and getting better. And I like teaching people.
Then I'm goign to be a head teacher, take over one school, join two more onto it and have a mini empire in Laverstock... try and unite all the school's in my small City and be head of them all.
That really is my aim.
Ok... maybe just the Laverstock bit, those three school's were plannign on joining anyway.
But I want to be a Head, because all the ones I've had are b*tches. I'd be that odd and overly eccentric teacher you see, with fuzzy hair and her head in the clouds.

I want to be an oncologist when I'm older, because I'm fasinated by everything medical, and also, I want to make a difference in people lives - And what bigger difference can you make them saving their lives?
My mum thinks I'm crazy because it's such an upsetting job, but really, someone has to do it, and I feel like I have the strength and determination to do so.
