Hate is hate, right?
This is more or less about some of the things I've seen posted around the boards since I've been here. In journals, too.
The whole 'homophobic' term is beginning to really get on my nerves. Someone doesn't like slash..."Oh my gosh you homophobic asshole!!!" Right? Seems a bit silly to me.
But, it's totally okay for you to say that hetersexual stories/couples are gross or make you sick to your stomach. Someone couldn't dare say that about homosexuals. [No, I don't feel this way about either, so don't accuse me of that.]
I just find it kind of hypocritical of people to think they can say that straight couples are gross, but get so mad when someone does something they claim is 'homophobic'.
Hate is hate. It doesn't matter who you're directing it towards; it's still wrong.
That would be like saying racism is okay, but only as long as it's just black people hating white people. It would still be hate. Isn't hate wrong in any shape, form or fashion?
Apparently not to a lot of people. As long as it isn't 'homophobic', hate is totally okay.
Right?
Wrong.

I completely agree. Just like racism and any other hate in the world, it goes both ways no matter what way you look at it.
