Who Knows Where To Publish?
Ok, I want to publish a book. I know the layout, have the material, know the name, and know the dedications, but I don't know of anywhere that will let me publish my own book. All I'm asking for, at least at this point, is for someone, anyone, who knows of a place to help self publish (lol, I guess it wouldn't be self publishing with help) to tell me about it! Please help me with this! My only specifications are that it has to be cheap (preferably free) and somewhere near central Missouri. If anyone knows of a place to publish please tell me and if you would like more information on the book because you are interested in buying it (who would be?) then please messege or comment.

I don't think that most people understand how difficult it is to get their work published. It's a long and very difficult process, that requires a lot of effort and, oftentimes, even more luck. Some people get really lucky breaks. Like that kid who wrote the dragon series, Eragon or whatever the name is? Yes, he never would have gotten published if his parents, you know, didn't own the original publishing company and everything...
If you really want to do this, more power to you. Just be ready to be in it for the long haul.
There are some websites where you can get copies of your book made, and then shipped to you so you can do whatever with them, but it's pricey. Then you have to find places to sell them, which costs more money. Eesh.

I don't know an exact place but I do know it extremely expensive and can sometimes take years to publish a book and then even longer for it to get popular. After it's published you still need to find a place for you to sell it. that costs money too.

There are books with lists of publishers and what type of genres they like to publish. You can find a book like this probably at your local library or bookstore. :) Self-publishing can be tough because all the money for advertising and whatnot comes out of your pocket. Good luck!
