Violence is never the answer. Including such involving 'homophobes'.
Let's face it- everyone has their own opinions, and their own way of expressing them. Sometimes their tactics aren't so well perceived, but that doesn't change their behavior.
Should people accept violence? No. That doesn't mean though, that 'homophobes deserve to be beaten' Especially considering that not all 'homophobes' are violent towards homosexuals. Some are, yes, I know that much. That doesn't mean you should assume they all are.
Even so, you're being a hypocrite. You're saying that people should accept others lifestyles, but also what you're saying is that they should change the person that they are. Meaning they should change their lifestyle. H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E much?
The reason I put 'homophobic' in quotations would be because not everyone that isn't all GO GAY!!1111 hates homosexuals. Hate is a very, very strong word.
I'll quote one of my old journals for you..
...and it's true. People REALLY need to learn what they're talking about before they start name calling.
Not to mention that 'not being open minded to people whom are narrow minded' is so hypocritical. If everyone has a right to live the way they want, then that means they don't have to agree with you, anymore than you have to agree with them.
Get over yourself.

quote:Someone who simply thinks homosexuality is wrong because of their religion. - Not homophobic.
Someone who has a habit of saying 'That's gay.' as slang- Not homophobic. Well, I suppose some may use it in that sense, but most of them just do out of habit. Like saying 'That sucks' .... You don't literally mean that it sucks, do you? I mean, that doesn't even make sense.
Someone who doesn't read/write slash- Not homophobic. I mean, I don't like slash. If you do, fine. That's cool. I don't. But no, I do not have 'homophobia.'

Kudos for you. I hate when people are so quick to label someone if they don't agree with something the person does...
