My school report '08
I copied Erin. :file:
Homeroom - Miss M McFarlane
Francesca is always a pleasant and quiet student to have in Housegroup but I have been concerned as of late with her irregular attendance. Francesca has a very pleasing set of reports here that show she is hardworking and dilligent student. Keep on building on the great work you are doing Francesca and you will be in good stead for next year. Well done.
Art - Mrs S Carlan-Riddell
Francesca is an able and intelligent student in Visual Arts and I have enjoyed teaching her this semester. She is interested in the art historical models we have been studying and is able to apply these theories in her own work. I look forward to seeing her work develop during the rest of this semester, and hope to see her in the department next year to continue building her understandings of Visual Arts practice for Level One NCEA.
Digital Design - Mrs L Tolentino
Francesca is a quiet, hardworking student. She works extremely well in class. She completes all set tasks on time and to an acceptable standard. She always asks for help when the need arises. She is always willing to help other members of the class and learns concepts and skills quickly. However, I am concerned with her irregular attendance. Francesca is a pleasant, motivated student.
English - Ms H Hingston
Francesca is working to a satisfactory level in this subject but with room for improvement. She is able to express ideas clearly in a visual format using different verbal and visual techniques but must give more thought as to how she can develop her ideas in a visual way and to the proportion of the visual images she chooses to work.
Unfortunatly I am unable to comment on Francesca's Transactional Writing skills as she did not hand in a piece of writing for assessment. Similarly, homework is not being completed on a regular basis and not all class work is being completed in class or finished at home.
This year, students are working on Unit Standard 8808. This unit standard is worth 3 credits towards the literacy requirements for NCEA and it is important that Francesca complete all the requirements for this unit standard if she is to pass. What concerns me most is that meeting deadlines, completing the work set and being organised are skills that Francesca will need if she is to succeed next year.
Mathematics - Mrs M van Etten
Francesca is a keen and committed Mathematics student who has made excellent progress this year. She is able to listen carefully and learn from others in class. She is also willing to show her growth understaning with the group. Francesca can apply mathematical procedures that are most appropriate in solving problems and justify the choice communicating the required knowledge clearly and precisly. Francesca is encouraged to continue the excellent effort and work habits exhibited this semester.
Physical Education - Miss R Holder
Francesca is a quiet and pleasant student. I appreciate her co-operation and her willingless to try new things at times. However it seems she is seldom able to be involved. My hope is to see Francesca develop a greater appreciation for the importance of physical education in her life, as she begins to understand the great benefits that regular activity can offer her health and well-being.
Science - Mrs M Oliver
Francesca is a pleasant, cheerful student who is a pleasure to teach. She works hard in class although she does have some missing homework assignments. Francesca is achieving within the level required for Year 10. Her marks have risen from 53% (Plant test) to 58% (Forces test) which is good to see. Francesca is building a solid base of knowledge with which to tackle Level One Science next year but she must still make sure to ask questions when unsure of a skill or a concept being taught.
Social Studies - Mrs J Chemis
Francesca is quiet and focused in class. She completes enough work to complete the requierments and usually meets the standard. However I would like to see Francesca do more than just do enough to get by, she is capable of doing much better than she is at present. Francesca's results so far have been inconsistent and reflect a lack of motivation to gain really good results rather than showing what she is really capable of.

He got boners during class, and he's what, 60? And he thought I was a lezbo. ::grr:
