Should I tell someone?
My dad's hurt me before, and he's left marks before.
He threatens to hit me a lot,
and he does sometimes. He thinks its no big deal, and if I start crying he just gets pissed
Once he shoved me on the ground and hit me a few times, and I cut myself on something, and then my mom came in and freaked out.
I don't think leaving marks on children is legal.
I think he drinks.
He smells like it sometimes, and his words are slurred.
I don't know what to do.
He hasn't touched me for a while, and I told him if he did I'd call the cops.
His response?
"I don't care."
I don't know what to do.

You should tell someone, whether he does it again or not.
It's not right for him to abuse you like that.
You're supposed to be safe with your parent/s, not endangered.

If it happens again then tell someone. Like a teacher at school that you trust. It'll be easier then telling a police officer that you don't know, because they don't know your personality and they may not take it seriously. By telling a teacher they'll tell the police and possibly social services, and the same if you tell the police they'll tell social services who'll probably give you family conselling or something. Either way it'll help.

You definitely should tell someone.
My mum hit me for ten years and I only just got the courage to tell my nan and now I live with her.
Even if you're scared, it's not worth having to put up with it. You shouldn't have to.

If he does it again, you should tell someone. You really should it may be really hard at first but in the end when you get away from him it will be worth it. Call the cops, or tell your school(they'll call cops, CPS, Your parents ect. more than likely). Tell someone and they can help you get out of that situations.
