Songwriting, ftl.

I'm having major lyric issues.
My friend came up with some amaaazing guitar riffs and chord progressions and whatnot..
So he asked me to write lyrics..

Meh.

Not going so well.

I've got some things...

Things floating around in my head:
He said "I love you" in big bold letters
I'd be a liar if I said it didn't mean a thing


and

Say what I need to hear
And all the things I never would have guessed
Say what I need to hear
Lie to me and tell me I'm the best
You've ever met

and

I'm so miserable without you, it's kind of like you're here
A mess I had to sweep under the rug for company's sake

Yeah. It's really freaking hard.
Anyone want to throw me a line?
