I'm going to be a...
freshman in high school on September 3rd. I am excited, but also scared. I will list the things i am excited for and what I am nervous about.
Excited:
-new school feeling
-feeling of being older
-many more classes to choose from
- lot of different clubs to try out
-being in enriched English and German
-maybe having classes with friends
-fresh start
Nervous:
-everyone hates freshman
-not having a lot of classes with my friends (friend taking enriched social studies, i'm not)
-not having any friends to sit with in lunch
-DRAMA (pressure always puts me in bad mood, tend to piss others off)
-school bus (even though it's only a 5 minute or less ride, I was made fun of last year for being fat kid, it was horrible)
-VERY strict teachers or that i don't agree/get along with.
-homework amount shock ( I had enough trouble with procrastination even with the little we had in middle school
- way busier scheduale
-gym class(again, I'm the fat kid, so I am slow and get made fun of)
-getting,ost ( I have been in the school once and it was like for five minutes, and it was just one little part of it)
There is probably a lot more, but I will end it there I have an orientation on the 26th, and I will go to it. I hope that helps calm my nerves a little bit.

getting lost: well, you're going to be there for weeks on end so you can't be lost forever now can you?
hating freshman: um, the freshman (and some sophs) don't usually hate themselves :)
teachers: well the busy schedule thing helps because if you don't like a teacher in one class then hey, odds are your schedule holds something else that you'll like.
good luck with hs. it's not as hard as it's talked up to be. goes fast too so have as much fun as you can. (and yes, drama sucks but laugh about it with your friends and it'll be more funny and less stressful)

I'm also going to be a freshman.
I'm not scared at all though- I don't really think us freshman will get picked on. I mean...how will they know we're freshman? Its not like we have to walk around with a sticker on our forehead saying our age.
My plan is to pretend to know what i'm doing, and where I'm going lol

I don't know where the idea that everyone hates freshmen came from, but it's not true. At least for me it wasn't. Everyone is pretty much indifferent to freshmen.
