And He Was Still Alive

so, we just caught a mouse
in a trap
and he was still alive

i was sitting here
on the computer
and i heard a 'SNAP'
and then lots of squeaks
so i jumped up to investigate

his tail and back left leg were caught
and he was squeaking quite hysterically
and stuck/hiding behind the cabinet

i ran upstairs
and told my parents

dad came back downstairs with me
he picked up the trap
and put the mouse in a market bag
and took him outside
and put him in a trashcan
and left him to die

i named him
it started with an 'A'
only now i can't remember what it was

i'm sad.
