First Day Of My Life
“Ugh…” David hesitated “Well, there is no big election for her… Is you or Jeff then…”
“Well… Ok… With whom do you want to go?”
“With anyone, it doesn’t matter…”
“Why don’t you guys stay at my place? The three of you…” David gave a 3rd option.
“That could work, but I have to go home for some stuff and call my dad.”
“Ok, drive to your house then…”
“There’s no point, than you just stay at my place and is over, what do you say?”
“That’s good idea.” David finally agreed.”
“I don’t care, I just want to rest!” Jeff said exasperated.
“Ok.”
Chuck drove a few minutes until they got to Chuck’s house. It was kind of big, for only one person. But it seemed that Sebastien used to stay there a lot, some of his stuff was there. Or so Chuck told her.
*David’s P.O.V.*
We entered to Chuck’s house and she seemed to be surprised at the big house, mine is a little smaller, but I guess she would like mine better. I thought having nothing to think about, at all.
“So do you like my place?” Chuck asked her walking by her side.
“I love it, it’s so big and cool, Ha-ha.” She said still amazed.
“Thanks.” Chuck said smirking. “C’mon, let’s go upstairs and you can choose a room for yourself.”
“Cool.” She answered and walked up the stairs after Chuck. I followed. Jeff had crashed on the couch pretty tired.
“C’mon! Do you like this one?” Chuck asked happily, like I hadn’t seen him in a quite long time.
“Sure! It’s so… freaking great!” She said as she looked at the white walls, a king size bed and a computer on it’s place, a couple of couches around and a pretty comfortable place to watch TV, all in one room. And the room had its own bathroom.
“Wow… I’ve never been to this room before…” I confessed, it was the coolest room of the whole house, but I don’t know why I had never been there before.
“Yeah, I know.” Chuck said still with a smile. Well… again, wow, he was smiling at me… I like this.
“Ok, so… If you need something I’ll be right downstairs, and you can just talk with David for a while.” Did he just said you can talk with… me? “Do you want a sandwich?”
“Well… yes, please.”
“Alright. What about you?” Chuck asked me, but I was too surprised to answer, he wasn’t mad… confusing…
“Ummm… Sure.” I answered.
“Ok. Why don’t you guys pick a movie and we can just chill out here…?”
“Aaaalright!” I answered cheerfully.
“Ok.” She said and smiled, like I had never seen her before. I stared at her and a smile came to my face.
“Ok, be right back.” Chuck walked out. I didn’t stopped staring at her, she looked at me in wonder, I just kept staring and she started staring at me too.
“Are you… ok?” She asked now looking into my eyes and trying to break the awkward silence.
“I-I…” I stuttered, but nothing came out of my mouth. I wasn’t thinking of anything, I was just staring, admiring her.
“David…?” She asked again looking deeper into my eyes, with a worried look.
“I-I think I’m just a little dizzy…” I lied.
“What? Why? Do you feel bad? Are you sick?” She asked getting closer to me; I knew she would get worried.
“I… I’ll just take a seat.” I said acting as if I was really felling bad.
“Do you want me to bring you something?”
“No! No… I-It’s ok.”
“Are you sure?” She asked me again staring with her beautiful dark brown eyes.
“I lov… think you have beautiful eyes…” I was going to say it… but I just couldn’t… what if… she didn’t felt the same…
“W-well… Thank you…” She said as she half smiled at me.
“I feel better now…” I ended the lie.
“That’s good…” She said calmed, her face was unreadable. I couldn’t tell if she was uncomfortable or happy we were alone.
“Do you mind… if I ask you something?” I said and cleared my throat.
“Well… No.” She answered nervous.
“That means, yes to the question.” I asked as I raised one of my eyebrows.
“Yeah.” She said sitting on my left side. I got nervous, but I could still act normally.
“Am I… Do you…” I couldn’t seem to get a way to express myself.
“Yes…?”
“Ummm… If… you liiike… How long are you staying?” I regretted what I was going to do and changed the conversation.
“I don’t know; whenever you guys get the time to get me back home…” She said sounding upset about it, as I was, I don’t know from all the themes that could’ve come to my mind this one was up.
“Yes… I’m sorry about that.”
“About what?” She asked confused.
“About that question, I know you don’t want to go back home…”
“Oh, it’s ok… I don’t have anywhere else to go anyway… I don’t know why I even escaped… I couldn’t get anywhere...”
“I’m glad you did it, though.” I said honestly. She looked up at me, smiling then looking back down. I put my arm around her and pushed her against me, softly rubbing her arm. She moved her hand from her side over to my right shoulder. I comfort her hugging with both of my arms, letting her know I’m here for her.
Chuck came in and just stared as I hugged her, he was at my sigh but not at hers. He didn’t say anything just stared, looked at me and I looked at him back. Wondering what he would do. Jeff came out from behind Chuck, asking for a pillow. She noticed them there and stopped hugging me and went to sit on the floor in front of the bed. I followed her and sat right next to her, and then Chuck sat next to me and turned on the TV. There was this music video on by this group I hadn’t really heard before… Bright Eyes… The song was called “First Day Of My Life”. Fuck! The video is seriously killing me.

I couldn’t force myself not to look at her… she seemed to know the song she was moving her lips in some words. Chuck took his sandwich and gave it a bite still watching the TV. I stared at her moving my head to the TV so she wouldn’t notice.
I was going insane, that song seriously made me want to tell her how I felt… But I didn’t even know how…
The video finally finished and there were commercials, after it finished she looked at me immediately. We heard someone snore; Chuck, Azelia and I looked behind us at the bed, and as I imagined, it was Jeff who fell asleep immediately on her bed.
