The Past Ain't Through With you

Chapter Seven.

Gerard opened the door, and as he looked at the face on the other side, he was filled with a mixture of emotions.

"Gerard Arthur Way?! What the hell are you doing here?!"

The color from Gerard's face disappeared, as he remembered what had happened between he and his mother, 5 long years ago. He stepped aside to let his mother into the house, as she continue to shout at him.

"I told you to never talk to me again! Then, I go and check on my sweet little neighbor - Frankie, And YOU answer the door!"

Frank, hearing his name, walked into the hallway, and saw his fiancee being shouted at by his...uhh....sweet neighbor from next door.

"Um, does anybody want to tell me what's going on?"

They both fell silent, and for a moment, stared at Frank. Then Donna began...

"I'm ever so sorry Frankie, it's just that, I'm very shocked to walk into your house, and see.......My son."

Gerard lowered his head.

Frank began to remember what Gerard had told him about his mother, and the anger began to build up inside him.

"You're son?! You mean to tell me that you are the evil lady who couldn't deal with her son's problems, so threw him out of the house?!"

Donna was taken aback with that statement. "Well what am I supposed to do when my son has a drinking problem?!"

Frank became even angrier then. "Well, how about helping him, instead of throwing him out on t he street?!"

The next 20 minutes or so carried on like this, until all three of them were sitting on the sofa, no longer arguing, just sitting, in silence.

Gerard had not forgiven his mother for throwing him out, but he wasn't one to hold a grudge, and in a way, he understood why his mother had thrown him out. Having a constantly drunken teenager living with you can't be the easiest thing in the world to deal with.

Frank, on the other hand, had not forgiven Mrs Way. He couldn't believe that this kind and helpful lady that he had known for months, could be so insensitive and cruel to throw her own son out of the house. But, as Gerard was no longer angry, Frank decided that he should let it go as well.

One thing that Frank and Gerard were both thinking, was 'I need to get out of this house, and be with me fiancee.'

Then, Mikey strolled into the house.

"Hey Frank, how's it goin'?"

Mikey. Gerard's younger brother. He didn't know the truth. The truth that Gerard did not leave the Way family out of choice, but he had been thrown out by his own mother. And when he entered the living room, and saw Gerard, after 5 long years, the look on his face was one of pure disappointment. He began to shout at Gerard, when Donna stepped in.

"Mikey, darling, you need to know something."
