Alexandra Burke Wins The X Factor 2008 - Comments

I feel I need to comment, as I didn't put much of my personal opinion in the actual article.

Alex was my favourite throughout, I always wanted her to win. From the start it was her, JLS, Eoghan or Laura. & I hated Diana XD.

I do have to agree that:
1. Everyone seems to be doing covers of Hallelujah now
2. I prefered JLS's version to Alex's. I didn't like hers that much at all, and I have five or six versions of Hallelujah on my mp4 (and extra one if you include Hayley Williams' first verse on The Final Riot.) & hers just doesn't compare. I love the Jeff Buckley and Kate Voegele versions. & I really think Paramore should record one too 'cause Hayley's voice did it really well...

I would've been happy with any of the top 3 winning though. I loved them all. & I think they all have a shot at doing well, but it depends how much they push themselves as most X Factor people only last one or two singles.

I don't even watch it regulary, but I think that Diana girl should have one..

it was actually quite a shit final seeing as eoghan was the first to go from it.
although, i don't see there being a point in a final if simon's just going to sign the top four anyway.

and simon did quite annoy me how he said that diana wouldn't be taking up the offer of the contract from gary.

she sings just aswell as Leona, and if one person already sings like it then its not the x-factor because someone else has it, arnt they looking for something new?
JLS was so much better, doesnt matter Simons already said hes signing Eoghan, JLS and Diana aswell so Mehh

both bore me and i thought it was time for something fresh out of the xfactor till she won. I'm just happy Laura or Diana didn't win.
And what's the point of christmas songs, if the xfactor winner will always top the christmas chart?

I don't mind Alexandra, but I would of rather had Eoghen or JLS win... JLS's version of the single was amazing. I loved it.

We've already got a Leona and we don't need another one. It was time that a group shoulda won. JLS FTW =)
Their version of the winners song was SO much better than [bold]hers[/bold]

They pure picked that song to suit one of the 4 girls voices. it's quite hard for a group to sing but JLS pulled it off pure good

i didnt care who won as long as it wasnt going to be Diana, she sucked balls! I kinda wanted Eoghan to win because he is from Nothern Ireland and lives very close to me!

she's pretty much exactly the same as leona.

I think Alexandra has an amazing voice, and she was on top form last night.
Don't get me wrong, I loved JLS, but there really was no competing against Alexandra. She didn't seem to put a foot [or note as the case may be] wrong in the competition.

I can't believe so many people are saying JLS should have won!
The only guy in JLS that could actually sing was Aston, and Diana was so pathetic. Her voice was horrible!

And what, because Alexandra is a young woman with singing talent she's a copy of Leona?

I'm am SOSOSOSOSOSO pissed off.
I really wanted Diana to win.
Her version of Hallulujah was the best.

Between JLS and Alexandra, JLS kicked arse, I preffered the boy's version and then there's her FAKE breathing and crying which totally pissed me off.
She's crying but there's NO tears, until ten minutes later, probably after she pinches herself really hard.
And how much make-up to the put on her? Her face is covered in the stuff, there's massive streaks down her face which are a lot lighter than the rest of her face.

Still so mad.

JLS should of won that. For sure. Alexandra's voice for the song Hallelujah just doesn't suit. she's murdered the song - and i'm definately not going to buy it. "/. Also i'm sick of the X-Factor songs being christmas number one, what's the point? They're all cheesy pop remakes when there is so many better singles that actually do deserve to be number one this christmas.

I even tried phoning in for JLS countless times, but all I got that was the line was "pre-occupied" or "busy" :/

JLS should of won. End of. We didn't need another Leona dominating the charts.

The only one who's album I would/will buy (thanks to comments from Mr. Barlow & Mr. Cowell I'm assuming it'll be possible to do so) is Diana. Her voice would have been the best for Hallelujah. She's quirky and amazing :)

Alexandra should so not have won! She's so much like Leona, kinda like a copout, I suppose. Eoghan or JLS should have totally won! And I am never buying her cd!! Grrr!!

I'm so happy Alexandra won! I could not stand that Eoghan guy. I liked JLS, but Alexandra was easily the best singer in the competition.
