The Beatles were high on acid most of the time during writing/recording.
For example 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'. It spells out 'LSD'.

If I'm gonna be honest..I got the impression that he was high right through Pretty. Odd. Some of the best music has been written while high. Pretty. Odd just screamed it, to me.

I don't know him personally, so I don't care what he does in his spare time. Oh, and Alice in Wonderland was written when the author was high. I don't care if they were written when he was high or whatever, because I thought the lyrics were amazing when I didn't know, and I still think the same now.

I'm disappointed in him too, but you can't judge his lyrics because of his habits. Ry writes his lyrics off of what has happened to him and to his band mates. His lyrics do mean something to him.
I think we all need to leave Ry alone and stop judging him. It won't help by judging him and his music. Just leave the poor guy alone.

I know people who have written some of the most beautiful things, with meaning to them, while they were high.

I know people who do drugs, that doesn't mean I do it.
Who's to say the girls aren't the ones doing it and he's just there?

Being high doesn't make you brain dead or anything. You still have emotions and thoughts. How do you know he wasn't doing coke when he wrote all of the other songs? I think as long as a song has emotion and feelings put into it, it's still a meaningful song so until Ryan Ross turns into a vegetable...

How do you know they're not thinking? Lots of great songs, which meant a lot to the artist, have been written while they're high.

Hell, Coleridge wrote "Kubla Khan" after having a crazy opium-induced dream. It's one of the more famous poems in literature. It meant a lot to him.

It wasn't just coke. He (plus the others[?]) did weed btw.

It's weird because Spencer and Ryan have been friends forever and then all of a sudden it's like SPLIT!
