I think it's because fish aren't mammals. But chickens aren't mammals, so why are they considered meat if fish aren't? Woah, I confused myself already.

I never understood the whole if you're a vegetarian you can eat fish. It's still meat, they still have to be killed to be eaten...

Personally, I think if you eat fish, that doesn't make you a vegetarian.

I can understand eating eggs or drinking milk because that doesn't harm the animal it came from, but you're killing the fish just as they do chickens, cows, and pigs to get the meat, so I wouldn't see you as a vegetarian anymore.

That's just me, though.

Given, I don't know your motives behind being vegetarian, and I'm not vegetarian, but that's just my two cents. =]

Uh...It is still meat, but everyone has their exceptions. I eat meat but I have a thing against eating pork/bacon/ham.

I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat fish, people have told me to eat it though. I don't really like it to begin with, but I really don't know. I'd look up the definition on Vegetarian and go off that if I were you... Hope that helped.
