At my school in Australia we have a 10 day cycle. So you have a different period pattern for 10 days in a row then it goes back to the start... does that make sense?

I never took study hall. I wasn't allowed to if I wanted to graduate with honors.

I had study hall in 7th grade. I would have had one in 6th grade but chorus took that free period. In 8th grade I took accelerated science which ment I had science every day again taking the free period I would've had for study hall, not that I needed it. In 9th grade I didn't have any open blocks but we get advisement which is 80 minutes long and we use it as a study hall or to get help from other teachers. In my school district you only get a study hall if you have all your mandatory classesand still have an open block you get put in study hall if you don't have other electives you want.

YOU GET STUDY HALL IN SEVENTH GRADE!?

You've got to be kidding me. That's ridiculous! I'm going to be a SENIOR and I have never had study hall one single day of my life in school! And I've had perfect attendance practically every year, mind you!!! ~ I may be overreacting, but I've wanted study hall for the longest time! My school in Australia, the year I moved, decided to get study hall. The year I move to NY is the first year they got rid of study hall. I'M SO JEALOUS.

I used to have study hall in middle school, and I only used it to talk, draw on my books, and sleep. We don't have them in high school, unfortunately :( But I only have four classes a semester, so I guess that makes up for it.

I'd much rather have your schedule than mine. I'm about to be a freshman, and on A days, I have band, jazz band, music theory and Spanish I think. Then on B days I have to sit through bio, lit, world history, and math. Sucks. What do you play in band?

The hell? You get a study hall in seventh grade? What the hell do you need it for. You have barely any homework in the seventh grade. I'm a freshman and I don't get study hall until next year.
