Yeah, it's illegal where I live (US) but some of our cops are douchebags - the kind of douchebag that goes at 100 mph just because they're cops, and turn on their sirens just to go through a red light, and are too busy having fun to be responsible. I'm thankful for the real cops. >.<

I was on the highway the other day, and there was a massive SUV in front of me that suddenly started drifting across into the opposite lane into oncoming traffic. It was about halfway over the line before it pulled back, and when we passed it, I saw that the driver was on the phone. I was like, "Idiot."

So I'm not the only person who still watches Tyra? Good, I thought I was a loner.

It ticks me off when people do that. It's not illegal where I live, yet. There working on it though.

    Don't know about everywhere else.
You can only talk with a headset or bluetooth in your car, stuff like that. Hands-free.

Is it illegal in the US?

In Australia (n my state anyway) talking on the phone is illegal unless your on your full license (which you can only get, at the earliest at 20) and even then you're only allowed to talk on hands free.

There are pretty heavy fines, and if you're under the age of 20 you can loose your license for it.

That being said, the only time I've texted while driving had been if I've been stuck in stand still traffic to let someone know I'll be late. It was still illegal, but the car wasn't even moving. I would never do it while driving.

Exactly! I don't even think people who text while driving are actually having an important conversation via text. So why do it?

My parents are guilty of texting while driving. And I always have to remind them about that! It's not just a teenager thing. I hate when they say it's just teenagers who text while driving.
