sorry. I wish I could help you. For me, inspiration comes from what I see, and the stories and random words my head decides to spit out at me. Try watching historical documentaries or something. I know it sounds odd to say the least, but a lot of the times there are very heartwrenching and thought provoking stories and scenarios that pan out.

I wish I could help. You ask for poem topics and all I can think of are adjectives because that's how all mine start; with one word as inspiration.

(that's only because I read 'Christabel' by Coleridge and there was something mentioned in a lecture about Cain and Abel...)
