Choosing a story to read. - Comments

  • If the layout isn't to my liking, I change to default. I don't care about banners because not all of us here are artists. Even if the story's title isn't capitalized or the summary lacks, I still read at least the prologue and the first two chapters and then I decide if I want to keep reading or not. Also commenting about what you like and what not, where you found mistakes, helps the writers get better. All of us start from somewhere and our first works always suck but as time goes by we get better. I only write original fiction but I read both fics. When the fan fic is about someone I don't know, I simply treat it as an original fic. Well, that's my view on reading other people's works.

I only read fan fiction on mibba, simply because I can't be assed to go find a good piece of original work. However, you just reminded me of another thing I judge based on.

  • I pretty much agree on all of that, except for only reading fan fiction. aha However, sometimes not knowing who you're reading about can be a good thing, but only sometimes.

First off, I love the signature. I fucking adore tacos.
Second, I KNOW, RIGHT?! Even if I get past the summary, there's no guaranteed that the story line won't bore me to death.

  • I'm the same way sometimes. It takes a lot for me to actually read a story all the way through, or even just the first chapter.
