I'm NOT trying to be a dick, but I just sex at fourteen is just to young. It DOES NOT make you a slut, I just think that sex at a young age is just weird. I am NOT trying to be a dick, I promise. I'm just stating my opinion.

Just because it's the way it is doesn't mean I have to like it. And yeah freedom of speech but would people's lives really be so empty if they didn't get to call people sluts? I don't use the word and im doing great.

I get your point. But it is a word and people are going to use it whether you like it or not. It's not made up. It's not a figment of anyone's imagination. It's a word, with a meaning, that people are going to use.

I'm just saying that slut isn't a made up word and people can and will use it in whatever way they please. That's freedom of speech and it's mine and many others right as an American. That's just the way the world works.

I don't think you're getting my point. Just because the dictionary lists it as a specific way doesn't mean the rest of the word does. Society changes words, the way gay went from meaning happy to homosexual and now people use it to mean 'stupid'. I'd love it if it was as simple as just following dictionary definitions but the world, in my experience, doesn't work like that.

What counts as immoral though? What counts as slovenly? There's no set standard as to when you become those things, it's all opinion. That's why I feel there's no concrete definition.

So what does the word mean then 'officially' according to the dictionary? In my opinion it's a silly, made-up word that has no purpose, value or concrete meaning and I can't see how anyone can think otherwise.

Just because people don't know what it means doesn't mean it's made up, though. A lot of people don't know what hubris means but that doesn't mean it's made up.
Not seeing why something needs to exist and it not existing are two very different things.

Does the dictionary list all the things I did? Because according to the world, all those things make me a slut. It doesn't have a true meaning or definition in real life because everybody thinks it's something different. Yes the word exists but I don't see why it needs to.

Unicorns don't exist but I don't think that word is made up. The dictionary has a definition for slut, so it's not definition or meaningless either.

To me it's made-up because in my opinion a 'slut' doesn't exist, there's no true meaning to it and no true definition of it.

How can something be a "made-up word"? What makes it "made up"? Because its not in the dictionary?
