So, it was my cousin's birthday a few days ago, and he had a family party. My aunts were there and were asking me what I wanted for Christmas.

I'm in a major need for that Harry Potter shirt at Hot Topic so I go, "Just get me a giftcard to Hot Topic or something."

So then, my other aunt comes up to me and says, "DO YOU HAVE FRIENDS?"

I nod, because yes I do have friends. I ask her why she asked me that.

Response: "ONLY OUTCASTS AND THE FREAKS SHOP AT HOT TOPIC."

And then my whole family goes on and on about how my band tees are gruesome and grotesque. How my cheetah, checkered, etc. pants are much to weird for the normal world.

I'm just sitting there, eating my cake hearing them rant about how scary Hot Topic is and why the people there have tattoos or wear weird clothes.

Then they asked me if I could be normal from now on.

What?

The way I dress now is completely normal, nowadays.

Seriously.

Anyone elses family is "scared" of Hot Topic?
