Happy Birthday Michael Jackson [Smile, what's the use in crying?]

First off, let me just say that I was shocked to come to the journals and find not one post on the Birthday of Michael Jackson!

I guess some people are just busy, other have forgotten, some were just those temporary fans.

Anyway, let me get to the point..

So most of us know that today is Michael Jackson's birthday, and would've been fifty-one years old, had he not passed at such a young age, in my opinion.

Michael was a huge inspiration to me. His dancing, singing, personality, his desire to soothe the world, everything about him.

He made a huge effect on me through life, and death.

Who ever expected the world's most talked about man, in both good ways and bad, to me murdered, again in my opinion, at age fifty?

This just goes to show you, life really is short. Value it, cherish it, and live it to the fullest.

I've pulled together a playlist for Michael in memory of him. It just doesn't seem real to me that he's gone even now.

I'm still expecting to hear concert announcements on the radio. =(

But the main song that I want to be focused on for Michael, tonight, is "Who You'd Be Today" - Kenny Chesney.

Sunny days seem to hurt the most.
I wear the pain like a heavy coat.
I feel you everywhere I go.
I see your smile, I see your face,
I hear you laughin' in the rain.
I still can't believe you're gone.

It ain't fair: you died too young,
Like the story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I miss you,
All the hell that I've been through,
Just knowin' no-one could take your place.
An' sometimes I wonder,
Who'd you be today?

Would you see the world? Would you chase your dreams?
Settle down with a family,
I wonder what would you name your babies?
Some days the sky's so blue,
I feel like I can talk to you,
An' I know it might sound crazy.

It ain't fair: you died too young,
Like the story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I miss you,
All the hell that I've been through,
Just knowin' no-one could take your place.
An' sometimes I wonder,
Who you'd be today?

Today, today, today.
Today, today, today.

[Instrumental Break]

Sunny days seem to hurt the most.
I wear the pain like a heavy coat.
The only thing that gives me hope,
Is I know I'll see you again some day.

Some day, some day, some day.

*tears*

We will miss you forever Michael.~

Letting Go of You is Hard (Michael)

Sitting here this morning,
Picturing your face.
I can't help but to wonder,
If you're in a better place.

Some people will condemn me,
For continuously holding on.
They're blind to all my efforts,
I'm trying to be strong.

We never had a conversation,
I never shook your hand.
Though this is true, I know,
You were truly a good man.

You sing me sound to sleep at night,
You dance across my heart.
If I close my eyes, I can see you there,
So we're never far apart.

My poem to our sweet, beloved Michael, who was more than just an idol to us, but meant something more, something so much more special, in each of our hearts.~
