Rambling on about senior year, working, music, and horrid hipsters.

So...Senior year! Although cliche, it really does feel like yesterday when Gerard. (Amanda Way's username) and I were little freshmen that were so worried about big scary high school. So far, senior year has been fantastic. I love my schedule, mostly because of Photography with Gerard. and AP Government (because I'm a nerdy political activist). I also have a bunch of random studies in the cafeteria where I do nothing but play on my DS ^_^

Working...at Gamestop. Although I do love working there, customers sometimes treat me like I'm incompetent because I'm a girl that works at a video game store. Therefore, I must not know anything about video games. I love to shock customers when I tell them how much I love playing Left 4 Dead, a stereotypical male zombie-esque gore game. Sometimes my manager treats me like an idiot though, calls me "f*ck face" and "b*tch," and if i screw up he loves saying "How the f*ck do you not understand that?" He gets really aggravating but my assistant manager is one of the nicest people I have ever met and I mostly work with him so its all good :)

Music...has been literally taking over my life. I am trying to get ready for my piano auditions to get into college music conservatories...so much music I have to learn arghhh. >.< Beethoven is Satan I swear

and hipsters...anyone else realize how annoying they are with their elitist attitudes? When I went to Williamsburg (aka their mothership), it bothered me how most of them go around with this "I'm better than you because I buy secondhand everything and listen to 'obscure' music." And my ex completely has that kind of attitude where he thinks he's better than everyone else because he listens to "indie" bands and writes poetry. The comments he makes about other people are terrible. He loves putting down other people's writing styles and going out of his way to explain why he is more mature than anyone else his age. I never realized it when we were dating, but now looking back on things, he was a wannabe hipster that just thought he was so different from everyone else. It disgusts me. He even thought he was more mature than me, hence why he broke up with me. Apparently, he could not spiritually grow with me in a relationship and didn't want to be seventeen forever (metro station anyone?)
Ugh.

So how is everyone else doing?
