Road Trip.

Me and a few of my friends are planning to travel to america the summer before we go university - more specifically we're going on a road trip. However we're not quite sure where to start. We want to rent a car from one of the airports and return it to another, which we already know we can do. However we hit an inconvinience when it came to places to stay and the matter of food.

Can anyone suggest cheap places to stay and eat?

Does anyone have some idea how money we might need for four weeks?

Also is there anywhere you suggest we visit whilst in America?
