back in the day?

like....yesterday?

Yesterday!
Yesterday I was at work.
and there was this group of children- like ten year olds.
and they were causing a ruckus.
A RUCKUS!
mind you, I work in a library. So it's relatively quiet in there.
Anyways.
These hoodlums(as we call them at work) were yelling at the computers,
shoving each other,
acting "cool".
yeah.
it got to be annoying.
So my boss sent me to go kick them out.
Picture me;
Seventeen, shy, short, not assertive in anyway(hense why i work in a library.)
So I walk over there
and they stare at me.
JUST STARE
until the "leader" says "Wha' chu' want?"
yeah...just like that.
I was like. "Uhmm...you guys are being too loud. Leave."
Then theres some more staring.
Like they didn't believe me.
I glanced back at my coworker, Amy.
She makes a hand sign, telling me to bring the heat.
So I had to bring the heat.
I crossed my arms, cocked my hip out a bit and narrowed my eyes.
"You're disturbing the others. Now get out before I call the boss over here."
The boys shrug and walk off.
I nervously stagger back to my post at the book carts and collapse onto the stool.
