Read if you know any remedies for cat allergies

So my friend, on here she is known as MellotheVixen, has a cat. A really cute one named Mello. She got him from a shelter. Her mom is allergic to cats, so she gets a reaction from Mello.

Her parents say she might have to get rid of Mello, which upsets her greatly and it would upset me too.

If you know ANY cat allergy remedies, please share so that my friend can keep her cat, but nothing too costly/dangerous/etc.
