How should I ask him out?

I’m thinking that I want to ask Alex out Sunday night at work, but I have no clue how I should. I want to see if he wants to see a movie and maybe get dinner Monday or whenever our day off together is. I’ve never really asked a guy out, so I don’t know how I should go about this. Someone help me please. Would it be legal for the two of us to date? (We live in VA) I’m already 18 and he’s still 17 till mid July. I really like him a lot, and I doubt it’s because he kissed me last week.

And another question on this page about dates. I know I should pay if he says yes. What if the date goes farther then I thought it would? What if we end up back at his place, and in his room? Should we go farther if he wants to, or should I stay firm with no sex unless I’m on birth control?

How old where most of you: when you got birth control, had sex for the first time, and how do you go about getting birth control?

I’m hopefully going to be dying my hair tomorrow. It’s either gonna be super dark brown with red streaks or black with red in it. I’m not sure yet, though. I don’t need to bleach it, so the color will stay better, do I? My hair’s normally medium brown.
