Annoying Photos [Rant]

I really hope I don't sound idiotic here, because when I vent/rant, I go from using the ridiculously unnecessary words I learned in my advanced English classes to vocabulary of a kindergarten. I'll do my best.

I've become increasingly and repeatedly annoyed on many of the social networking sites that I am a part of, mostly including Facebook and Myspace. Why do people post kissing pictures on social networking sites? Obviously, your relationship status says you are in a relationship and therefore people assume you kiss your boyfriend/girlfriend, so why must you take a photo of the two of you playing tonsil-hockey (as my good friend refers to it)? Really, it’s gross. A cute picture of you with your girlfriend/boyfriend is much better and far more… appropriate.

And actually to be completely honest, it makes me quite uncomfortable. When I log into my Facebook, I don't want to have to see this. Oh sure, there's the typical "if you don't wanna see that, just delete them!" But what if they're my friend and I don't want to delete them? They are added as a friend for a reason, after all.

I just think it's tacky and highly unnecessary.
