I'm afraid of pools. / Comment Swap

This is completely true. Yet I'm not afraid of any natural body of water. Just the pool. Nothing bad has ever happened to me in the pool, I've never had any truly traumatic experiences... but still. I am now afraid of the pool.

I believe the water is secretly toxic.

I believe the top will ice over, leaving me stuck beneath it.

I believe skeletons with names like Jim and Riley live at the bottom.

What can I say? It's an irrational fear. I had to get it off my chest though, because my family is going to Myrtle Beach, and our hotel has 2 pools and 2 lazy rivers. I'm scared...
