My friends tell me about their day
I listen to the words they say
The details about their first kiss
Sad things they wrote about the boy they miss
They tell me that their guy's "the one"
Then their heart breaks with "We're done"
Give them a while and they'll move on
From Tyler to Cameron to Leon
Although they have been hurt before
They've seen true love they can't ignore
When I hear their stores I try not to cry
Even thought I can feel part of me starting to die
Because I know that I'll never find my true love
Without a miracle from heaven above
And I'm afraid that if I ever do
I wont hear "I love you too"
So I stay strong and hold it in
Hoping that someday I'll win
But my life is not a fairytale
And love is not a ship I'll sail
Yet I'll look at my friends and smile
And be happy for a little while
Because I see their eyes, the way they shine
The kind of shine I want in mine
And I know that they have felt the love
The kind that's sent from heaven above
The kind of love that doesn't end
So I'll be happy for my friend
And I'll listen to what they have to say
Although I've never felt that way
And I won't be angry or jealous or sad
I'll see their love and I'll be glad
Because love is an incredibly amazing thing
And they deserve a love that makes you want to sing
