What do you think of when you hear the phrase "summertime blues" or hear the song called "Summertime Blues" by Eddie Cochran or the cover version by Alan Jackson? Well, this is what I think of.

I love this song, as summertime is a great thing to write stories and poems about, and it's a great time of year as well. Days get warmer in summer. Leaves turn green on trees. People often go to county and town fairs to find some excitement. School ends, and children have time to visit with each other, find lots of good stuff to do when bored, and have some fun. Sometimes people go away on vacations to discover new places and try exciting new things.
In conclusion, it's a great time of year for everyone. I know, and this song reminds me of that.
